Chelsea match moved

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No it isn't.

Some things are more important than football matches.

And no I'm not a Royalist.
Bullshit! The coronation date has been set since the fall and the MET approved this time and date back in FEBRUARY.

Traveling from the u.s. this is a massive pain to rebook flights, hotels and schedules at work on short notice. :banghead:
Have a read of another post I've made before calling me out for bullshìt.

You choose to support an English club you run the risk of such inconveniences happening. A King's coronation is no small event you know.
Yeah got to agree on this one, and overseas supporters seem to be getting more and more seats these days.
I find it bizarre really - I would never consider supporting a club from another country.

Back in 97' england had all the good soccer, it's where I fell in love with the game. What can ya do? :barscarf:

For what it's worth I support my local club too, established in 2016

If I cant make it work, they're club level seats, I'll put em up on the ticket match board. You guys have been good to me getting tickets in the past, always been a good experience.

agree with you for once, nothing worse rocking up to a bunch of tourist fans in your row, yes may be fans, (and i dont count the oirish here as we all know there really part of Uk.. ;) ) and i have far more respect for our nordic mates as theres a history there from some of the players, but still even so randomly picking an overseas team to support getting tickets ahead of loyal local fans to then moan about somehting that is part of the history (like it or not) of this country is a bit rich. stick to bradley wright phillips record goalscoring in your mLS if you dont like it...

Matches were postponed for the Queen's funeral so its not much of a stretch to assume they'd also be postponed for the coronation. I did say on another post that there should have been an official announcement as soon as the date was fixed.

It's just one of those things that happen and you have been unfortunate

I get it, just annoyed they announced the date and are only now changing it.

Me too. Couldn’t make Everton game on original weekend, Queen dies, game rearranged and can’t get a ticket. Couldn’t make Chelsea on the Saturday, game rearranged for Coronation rehearsal and can’t get a ticket. Hard to understand a second rescheduling.

The queen's death and the King's coronation are not predictable events....but what is predictable at this point of the season is that if you bought tickets two months ago or more, there's precious little chance that you will end up seeing the match at the time you originally booked for. It's one of the main reasons I originally stopped buying tickets (along with a decade of Kroenke failure and taking the piss out of us all). The final straw for me was a game against Newcastle a few years ago where I had tickets for all the family at great expense and arranged to meet friends, and it got switched to a Monday night. I was working away, kids at the time at school, friends from all over the country unable to make it etc. Turned what was going to be a nice Saturday into a nightmare....and a very expensive one.

You pay your money, you take your choice. So I don't pay mine anymore!

I'm pretty sure Sky still have a couple of TV picks held in reserve so don't be surprised if the Forest game gets moved too.

Stow that horseshit monkey boy.

But out of interest where does "local" extend to? Highbury? Islington? Gillespie Road only?

A few years back I had a little wánker on here try and call me out for supporting Arsenal as an Oirishman and not a local. Turned out same little wánker lived in Enfield and closer to the scum than the Arsenal.

As for "loyal"? There's plenty of those "loyal" locals you are lauding selling their tickets for profit and always has been. Local does not equate to loyal.

Nordic fans? How many Nordic players have the Arsenal had? I'll bet all 12 inches of my cock it's a lot less than French or Oirish players.

Finally, where do you get "randomly picking" from? You know why every foreign based fan chose Arsenal?

Finally finally. Fuck all royalty. I don't give a fuck what country anyone is from, royalty is a disgusting concept and only supported by mindless fucking sheep. :censored: Nobody is entitled to my respect. They earn it. As for bowing down in front of some pampered rich spoilt inbred that has never done a fucking day's work? Fuck off. :box:

Uk and oirland is local enoigh in my eyes...I'm not Highburyjd and claim you need to be conceived, born and raised in the dugout to count.

Your probably right about nordic players/fans. But then their season ends in winter so the fans need something to focus on instead of drinking themselves to death during long frigid dark times they have.

Really I just find our American cousin fans incredibly annoying despite liking them on a personal level. I just cannot take a septic seriously when they talk about soccerball...but then I must be a racist!
