Brighton BE H Sun 14th May KO 430pm

Post by falkirk goon »

Next up it's a difficult on with Brighton at ours. The cheats play in Madrid then away to the blue dippers so we will have a better idea of how things stand by the time we kick off here. This is a definite banana skin as these are a more than decent outfit.Drop Zinchenko for Tierney and keep Jorginho in the middle 8)

All we really care about is what the BE stands for?

Bell Ends?

Another massive game that we have to win. Still a potential banana-skin though. We have no margin for error. Technically, this lot could be king-makers, as they play Citeh in the second to last game and are arguably the toughest opponents of their run-in. Oh, if only...

If we show the same tenacity as we did today, we should win. We had better take nine points from our last three games. UTA :barscarf:

Agreed. Zinchenko looks like he is drunk at the moment.

After today's performance at Newcastle, I expect we'll win this. Depends if City drop points though, we might falter under the pressure. Pressure free and we'll win by 2 clear goals.
We really need to find a way to deal with pressure and expectations.
....this wilting when it really matters has been going on for well over a decade.

Weak minded players. Ship those ones out and get stronger minded players in.

One of those absolute wet fannies is Partey and just replacing him with Jorginho today, showed how one key change can make all the difference. The spine of the team will always be important and for too long ours has been filled with pansies. Couple of key signings will make a huge difference

And players who know how to win things. I don't think City will falter because they have a team filled with players who've "been there done that". That is what's needed, hardened winners.

This faltering at hurdles is not something new with us, it's been going on for years and years. The only time we seem to get up for it is FA cup finals. In other important games the amount of stumbles under pressure is incalculable.

Today was an absolutely astonishing performance tbh. Big strong opposition, white hot atmosphere, raucous fans, under the gun for the first 10 minutes.......perfect ingredients for an Arsenal wilting. But fair play to them, they didn't. One of the best wins of the season.

Agreed Jorginho led by Example... By both his playing, getting the fuck stuck in but was also constantly barking out orders and telling players what to do and where to be & go; Fucking Immense, so Kudos to Arteta for signing him and to the player himself.

On the 2 occasions when he got tackled (sic) "Challenged" out of possession, he immediately chased back to either add a second line of cover or hassle their player/s and play.

Brighton are a well drilled, fluid, attack minded team so we will (once again) need to be On It From The Start both Physically and Mentally.

As much as the game against the Oily Knuckle Dragging, Sister Shagging, Lightbulb Worshippers may have taken out of the players, I am hopeful that the Experience of that game and the knowledge that they came through it victorious will Inspire and Urge them on to play at a similar level and Win (again).

They’re on the beach already against Everton,Dunk has looked like Mustafi at his very worst,3-0 down at half time

We have to keep City honest. Just looked at their fixtures and they have 5 games in 14 days at the end of the season. We just have to keep going. Something could happen although I personally don’t think it will.

Still fucked off with Southampton game. :banghead:

And West Ham......who knows though, if we had won those we might have buckled against Newcastle. Still should have won them though.
