Absolutely fucking sick of it all.

Every year the hope rises and comes crashing down rapidly.

Title fucked , out the league cup , will be out the FA cup next week , think we will scrape through Porto then be out in the quarters of the CL.

Won’t sign anyone meaningful in January either.

Looking forward to the darts and a nice meal with the family tomorrow.

Also fuck off Arteta. Not a clue.
Enjoy the steak pie!

Fulham end a run of 3 straight defeats.
Of course they do...

I wonder if there has been fallout over his treatment of Ramsdale, Tierney and ESR

We're going to see a lot more of these type of games over the next year or so. We'll see exactly the same at Wolves, Forest, Burnley and then be thrashed at Man City, fuck knows what will happen against the scum, lose as usual at Manure, get done by the dippers at home and drop points against dross like Palace and Brentford at home. Well stumble into 3rd or 4th, ten points and more behind City and the dippers.

First to the ball, strong in the tackle, working hard for each other, plenty of swift. attacking play

That’s Fulham

Our slow, pomderous, walking football does not work - it’s too intricate and easy to defend against.

He needs to abandon it now before it’s too late ( but obviously won’t )

They didn’t even double up on Saka as they didn’t need to.

Absolutely. It's not a tactic that will work unless you have a pure goalscorer in the team and two or three others who can score 12-15 goals a season. City pass it about all day but have Harlaand who can get on the end of everything and then other options up front or from the middle. It's fucking pointless playing this passing shit with nobody up front. We went through this 15 fucking years ago and it didn't work then and won't work now. Saka and Martinelli are modern day Walcott and Oxlade-Chamerlain and Ødergaard is modern day Wilshere or Nasri. Decent but nowhere near the quality you need to win the league. You can get closeish but that's about it.

Fuck me, how pony was that?!

Not a surprise to most on here though. Pretty much as predicted. We’ve been found out and El Basque is out of ideas. We’ve been bluffing our way through all season and it catches up with you eventually.

1 point out of 9…..Merry Christmas.

Arteta's comments just now on Sky.....apparently we played really well against West Ham and in all previous games prior to today.! Oh, and 'we go again' with the same players in January.

That's cheered me up.....the c@@@!

Apathy setting in again - feeling angry is always much better imo, but the reality is that every week it is the same tactics with mostly the same players and the same substitutions so nothing is going to change, hence why deflation and apathy are the feelings of the day here. Some fans CHOSE to look the other way and ignore the failings of diet pep and some players, so when chickens come home to roost they react with shock but that is on them imo - we have got out of jail so many times in last 18 months, so it was only a matter of time before our luck ran out

That Arteta thought the West Ham game was a faultless performance tells you all you need to know

Eerily similar to the collapse last season when every player’s form bombed at the same time just when we needed them most.

Saka, Odegaard and Martinelli are stinking the place up week after week after week. Eddie starts today - awful. On comes Jesus and Trossard - worse.

Havertz awful and most worrying of all today was Rice and Saliba, the 2 dependables were shocking too.

The fucking horseshoe passing death spiral of doom is back in a big way and is fucking would destroying to watch.

There was still 30+ minutes to go when Fulham scored but at no point did you ever think we were getting back into it. Mind numbing passing for passing’s sake and we just ran down the clock :suicide:

Yeah we did Fulham’s job for them, just keep passing while the clock keeps ticking.

Rice apart, who by his standards was poor today , nobody centrally, takes the ball forwards.
Last time I looked the goal was in the middle.

All that promise form last season has been thrown away by a massive overhaul that wasn’t needed, just a better player than Xhaka, to defend and contribute ( not hard ) and Rice to solidify the defence when required.

You just fucking know that a cup run will happen now and get the heat away.
It really won’t.
