BACK TO REALITY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

jayus we were shite last nite,,
yes i know with 12 games to go and 5 points clear we shouldnt complain but that was a weak rovers team last nite,, cesc is one booking away from a 2 match ban and gilberto was the wose player on the pitch,, our whole midfield was over run and we had no shape..

Yes Rebel

We played poorly last night but we won.We have reached the point of the season when the result counts more than the performance,That has been the critisism of the team lots of pretty football but no end result.Last night we ground out a result. It wasn"t preety but damn effective. Agree with you on Gilberto he was shocking Again!!!! Ten more results like this and we are champions

Being a miserable old c*nt Ive never been away from reality. Having watched quite a load of shit games at the pub on a Sunday just to have my couple of pints and a chat with the lads who play for the pub football team Ive always known that the majority of the teams in the premiership are utter dire shit. And its only down to fcuking Murdoch Sky continually overrating the premiership with such overhyped bullshit as making Aston Villa vs Derby or Bolton vs Middlesbrough sound like Real Madrid vs Barcewankers that gets everybody to think that its the best league in the world - well it fcuking aint. City turned over manure on Sunday and last week we turned over City at City (first time they lost at home this season) so cheer up everybody, we may have been shite last night but we are better shite than the rest of the shite, so that makes us good shite and they are bad, very bad shite so while we are winning playing shite and they are losing cos they're playing more shite than us we may come out of it top of the shite heap. I hope thats made it clear to you all.

Where's my coffee, must take my pill :x

Well said that man

Seriously though we were poor last night and we looked very lob-sided with yet again 3 centre-midfielders playing forcing cesc out wide which def affected his performance. We all accept that we were short on numbers last night but in all honestly how many of those that were missing will come back into the team ? Toure of course, rosicky probably, almunia yes(sadly  ) and van persie possibily but not for certain. As I said last night I would take 12 more games like that if we won them all but in reality we cannot afford many, if any, more performances like that.

As I player I always felt that in a tight contest (like the league is this season) when one of your rivals slip up it would ease the pressure slightly but it appears to heap more pressure on this team which was evident last night and away v toffee's(wengers words not mine). With 12 games to go we have our destiny in our own hands and I would certainly have taken that last August but we need to show strength and belief from here on in, both on the pitch and in the stands, because when we have games like last night the team can do without extra tension seeping its way from the fans.

This is where the experience factor is going to come in!

Everyone to do with Arsenal in the ground last night was nervous as we all realised the significance of the result!

There are twelve more games like this to come and it is going to be edge of the seat, finger nail biting stuff!

This is where Willy Gallas and the likes of Kolo and Jens need to keep their heads!

Well I quite like being in front. If we stay focused and just look at our games and let the others worry about the Arse. It would be nice to go to the Chavs shite shed and do away with their home record and shut Moses up and then go up and come away from manure with a extra time penalty which should hopefully give old purple nose a heart attack then I cant not seeing us doing it, why not, we're as good or even better than them, so there.

ITS OUR YEAR, YEAH, ITS OUR YEAR, YEAH
I know this is very childish but I dont give a fcuk :D

Do I take it that you think Jens will retain his place for the run in then Gus ? I know it would please me and a load of gooners but cannot see it happening

Well said Gus

I believe Jens should remain in goal for the run in.Almunia has been great this season. But in the next two months experience will play a very big part
