Who drafts these statements ? To me the statement is as passive and devoid of emotion, as anything we are seeing from the kroenke's
Where is the anger/frustration at our continued shameful/embarrassing efforts in the transfer market ? We all know that there are A LOT of things wrong with our club, but a lot of the issues and frustration will drift away if we see ambition from the club
Statements like this are too diluted for me liking
I understand your point Augie, but I'd ask that everyone on this forum gets behind this initiative. A handful of people were involved in wording that statement and some of us wanted a stronger, more direct line. Personally, I thought it was too broad in its scope (for example, I'd have left out mention of the match day experience and the European Super League for a start) and for me, there's one problem that's light years ahead of any other and that's Stan Kroenke. I'd have unequivocally targeted him and very directly, asking him to explain his ambitions for the Club and how / when they will be achieved. Others preferred this approach. Bottom line, something was needed and I think this was a good shot across the bows to get things moving.
Once the ball is rolling and if, as expected, the Club continues to slide backwards, with transfer activity and on-field performance being as dire as we all expect, then things will ramp up. This is going to be a long fight, a war of attrition and the vital aspect, is that ALL like minded supporters get fully behind it. The Wenger Out campaign was soul destroying frankly. Try as we might, we couldn't rally sufficient support (although in retrospect, perhaps we had a bigger effect than I realised at the time) and never got close to mass protest inside the stadium, which is vital.
However, I believe that this will be different. Absolutely no one has any sentimental attachment to the Kroenkes and everyone understands that we're finished as long as he owns the Club. It's already clear that far more fans are jumping on board and who knows, even our large contingent of supine, lobotomised mutes, might be prepared to cast a disapproving look in the direction of the Director's Box !
There has been a huge effort to launch this campaign on social media and in the MSM, with many doing a fabulous job (I don't include myself in that, I'm a technophobic dinosaur) and the reaction has been fantastic. Can I ask ALL the guys on here to PLEASE get behind this, retweet, tweet yourself to followers, follow other tweeters (I ain't got a clue what I'm talking about
) and sign the petition.
He bought the shares, but we own the soul. There's no guarantees, but if our entire fan base shows a solid, united front and gets totally behind this, then we have a chance. What we must not do, is complain and do nothing.
KROENKE OUT !
