As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Frank Lampard's transfer banned Chelsea team look miles ahead of us, and he's been there less time than Emery and I wouldn't say their squad is miles ahead of ours.
Can you please tell me proper reasons that will back up that statement ? I mean proper reasons and not just a points tally after just a third of the season where the chavs have played just 3 games against teams expected to finish in European places, and they only got 1pt from those 3 games Realistically (and no ott bullsh.t please) how many of their players would get in our first 11 ? Kante and (maybe) jorginho is all that would come next or near our team - our full backs are as good as anything in the premier league, our strike force when on form pisses all over theirs, and I would certainly have guendouzi ahead of kovac/barkley/mount etc, and I would have pepe ahead of all of their wingers even though he hasn't set the world alight yet either.
Our problem isn't that their squad is better than ours - our problem is that we have a much better squad than theirs and a manager who is woefully mis-managing them

They look far more organised and disciplined as a team than we have in 18 months. They appear to be developing a particular style of play, which is seeing them comfortably control most of the games that they have played this season. The last time I saw Arsenal play with a similar degree of organisation and discipline in the PL was the 4-2 against Spurs last season. Granted Chelsea only got 1 pint from 3 games from teams expect to finish in European places, so far, but we can't even control the game against Watford, Sheffield United, Palace or Wolves, let alone get three points from any of them.
When it comes to their squad, as I said ''I wouldn't say their squad is miles ahead of ours.'' I would arguably have their keeper, Kante and Jorginho and perhaps a fully fit Rudiger over Luiz. Other than that we have the better of the two squads, or at least strongest 11's.
Arsenal bosses “100%” behind Unai Emery, deny considering change or talking to candidates, plan to review in summer. Kroenkes + execs offering full support, won’t react to “noise”, feel results will improve atmos & think #AFC on right path. @TheAthleticUK: https://t.co/rXXrMAtd9a
Dick will be gone within 48 hrs I think. It's not just results, it's everything, just everything about our game, attitude, desire etc. Arsenal aren't a knee jerk club, god help us it took them 10 years to boot Wenger out. There will be phone calls over the weekend and into next week, discussions about putting Freddie in charge until maybe Christmas whilst they sound a out another manager (I hope to god it isn't Enrique - Emery mark 2). It will cost between 15-20m to get rid of Dick and his team, qualification for the CL starts at 40m, it's a no-brainer, even for our owners. With Spuds and ManUre having a worse season than us, they just can't pass up this opportunity, Chelsea will have a bad run soon, Leicester have an excellent first eleven but if they get a couple of important injuries they will struggle a bit.
If Arsenal act NOW they can possibly save the season, leave it until Christmas and we could genuinely be 11th or 12th in the table with no European football next year. Emery is gone.
All well and good for the board to leak that drivel but he’s a dead man walking. The fans have turned, the players have gone and the dire results will continue until he’s fired which will be soon. No way he survives.

With the fixtures coming up it is hard to see Dick getting many points .The Utd home game could be a relegation six pointer.
actually the next 4 league games are very favourable
Southampton home WIN
Norwich away WIN
Brighton home WIN
West Ham away WIN
even if we win all these as I expect then I still think Emery should go now, because clearly he is not up to taking the club higher than Europa league level - there is a reason why he has become a specialist in that competition

Southampton and Brighton he should get 6 points Rob but the away form is so poor he is capable of losing to Norwich,West Ham and Bournemouth then we have City ,Chelsea then Utd at home.Ornstein is claiming the board will not react to noise and will review him at the end of the season.

Wow - that is optimistic. I would wager 3 pts out of 12 for those fixtures. Everyone has given up on Emery.
I don't think that Enrique would be a bad appointment, but the contrary. His teams played very direct which is something that would suit us pretty well with the attack that we should possess. At least you could say that they have an identity which is an improvement to what you would see now. I would imagine that even Enrique would have better prospects than Arsenal anyway. His daughter died only a few months ago, so I think that the rumours are BS.
