Mensi Angelic Upstarts RIP Sunderland Home LC QF tribute & match thread. Tues 21 Dec 7.45PM

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Legendary players that played for both Arsenal & Sunderland :barscarf:

Charlie Buchan
Joe Baker
Steve Bould
Niall Quinn
Stefan Schwarz
Vito mannone
Justin hoyte
Mart poom

Legendary enough? :barscarf:

And how could I forget, he had a whole thread on here due to his legendary status; Lord Bendtner himself!
John Hawley

Scored a 40 yard screamer against Pat Jennings so Terry Neill bought him! :banghead:
Lee Chapman

Only really complacency that would stop us scoring a few more.

Not impressed with White’s positioning yet again for their goal - he was nowhere near his man.

Hopefully someone phone Eddie, to put an offer in for hiim

Happy with that half. Still expect us to lose but we've played our football (to our detriment at times), look dangerous when we go forward. Massive blow to lose broadhead. Only thing is you can see there's more goals for arsenal here, but all I wanted was a performance to be proud of and, first half at least, we've had one. Wish every club in league one had a pitch like this one, we'd walk the league

Pepe ! :barscarf:

The class player on the pitch
Didn't go and close down the midfielder which led to their goal
Exactly

Peepee is just complete gash. He'll never be a top player. Any other club that aspires to be top 4 would have slung him by now. Nor would they have spunked 72 million on shit like him to begin with.
Praying the Toon throw some money our way for him now they're flush. Anything above £30million we should rip their hand off.
Absolutely. 8)

Fuck it, even anything above 10million! :D

Your goal exposed just how thin we are in the middle. In fairness to your lads they just opened us up and flowed to that goal. Agreed Broadhead will be a big loss this half.

As much as I don't rate Eddie, that is a superb striker's goal.

Very true mate. We'll certainly never make back anywhere near what we spent on some of them.
