Re: Burnley bulbeyes A Sat 17th Feb KO 3pm
Another great win against dross, we seem to have sped things up of late, rather than the death by a thousand sideways passes pre Christmas.
a fine spell need to be relentless in this league, and far bigger tests to come...look way better with trossard instead of jesus, with saka and martinelli. As crap as he is klive seems to fet tin the way and cause some bother to the oppo and people feed off his fck ups as others have said...
I don't know how it will work in tight games as there will be some where evey chance is crucial, but its working against the skidmarks and think this is our most effective lineup oddly at the moment. Maybe esr for klive but no others.
As is odergaard. He was crap pre winter break but doing well now. As others all about consistency. Its easy looking a million dollars against dross key is maintain it consistently.
Key again is squad depth as when push comes to shove viera, etc are turd.
Look way better with kiwior in the side instead of Zinchenko.

The pivot from the nonce with the neck tattoo to Trossard will go down as one of the club’s greatest escapes.
What an absolute bargain he’s proven to be.

True. If we put Odegaard up for sale, there would be a lineup of the biggest clubs wanting to sign him. The only reason we dont get bids for him is clubs know we would quote them over 100m.Thynker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 11:04 pmOdegaard is a class act. He makes Saka better.
What was De Bruyne doing at his age? Fucking nothing.
With Zinchenko injured, Ben white has been doing the overloading in midfield. Why don't we continue with this and get Tierney back? He plays LCB for Scotland.
We are a weaker side with Zinchenko at LB and of we want to be in contention or win major honours we can't do it with him there. People like Mbappe or Vinicius Jr would destroy him

He scored a great goal, and look at the build up that drew the penalty. He moves forward takes the Odegaard pass and slips in Trossard.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 4:52 pmPLAYER RATINGS

The penalty was created from one of his endless terrible touches.wilson2.0 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:10 amHe scored a great goal, and look at the build up that drew the penalty. Great in small games invisible in big games.nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 4:47 pmWhere's that list about duds being bought under Arteta. Remove Odegaard. He's been sublime last few games.
This spell he has been superb. Will he keep it up though? I'll wait and see.....
He usually is against the lower teams... but has a habit of going missing against the Top Tier Teams.
On twitter one of the stat sites said he has created more goalscoring opps than any other player in Europe this year.

If we had of got Mudshit would he still have bought the vanity project that is Havertz….imagine them pair in the same side, what a clusterfuck that would berodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:04 amThe pivot from the nonce with the neck tattoo to Trossard will go down as one of the club’s greatest escapes.

Have a feeling if zinchenko was fit he would be in the team...sheer luck that we have Kiwor who has done ok...thats my worry with Artetawilson2.0 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:04 amTrue. how long did we struggle watching Nekitah...way too long to react and resolve ....now Trossard is in the team
Re: Burnley bulbeyes A Sat 17th Feb KO 3pm
What a joy the last few games have been. It's such a nice change to have the result in the bag well before the final whistle. The only frustration is that with a proper striker, we could have won the title this season but without one, we'll eventually fall off. My other fear Is that Arteta tends to play favourites and whenever Zinchenko Is fit, he'll be back in the team. Really hope we don't see Trossard drop out of the team because he is quality and as Rodders said, what a bargain he has been.
Re: Burnley bulbeyes A Sat 17th Feb KO 3pm
agreed he finds space well....as for the goal thought he hit it with no conviction...straight at keeper...IW8Goalmachine wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 1:01 amThe penalty was created from one of his endless terrible touches.wilson2.0 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:10 amHe scored a great goal, and look at the build up that drew the penalty. Fair do’s - he did take a lovely touch and simple pass to Odegaard fo Saka’s second.
I said in the West ham game he did okay and seems to have a bit more conviction now.
Is that 2 assists for Kiwor direct from throws now ?

Beginning to like the look of Kiwior, not playing in his natural position but seems to be getting steady enough where he's asked to play ,big strong,if he continues to play well, hopefully it will keep Zinchenko out of the picture.

The best thing that could happen for us (as happened with that wankstain Xhaka a couple of seasons back) would be Zinchenko to have a recurring leetle beet neegle..as we know he's right back in when fit..and results will go tits accordingly Artita much like his idol(not the baldy Spanish prick) falls upon tactical changes that work but not of his doing.. Youre bang on McD re the Porto game(I'm hungover and forgot the thread I was on )we need to do better in Europe and stiffen the hole out of the teams we've fucked up against in recent years.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 11:12 amBeginning to like the look of Kiwior, not playing in his natural position but seems to be getting steady enough where he's asked to play ,big strong,if he continues to play well, hopefully it will keep Zinchenko out of the picture.

Yeah, and also wouldn’t mind seeing him play a few games (definitely against the lesser sides) at CB to share the load with Gabriel and Saliba.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 11:12 amBeginning to like the look of Kiwior, not playing in his natural position but seems to be getting steady enough where he's asked to play ,big strong,if he continues to play well, hopefully it will keep Zinchenko out of the picture.
Those 2 are the best centre back partnership in the league but they play every single minute of every game which scares the shit out of me especially after what happened to Saliba last season the consequences that followed.
Those 2 must have played the most minutes this season out of everyone in the squad and we really should be managing their minutes better before one of them breaks.

Yeah absolutely bang on mate , would be insanity to put him anywhere near the team!Natural Born Gooner wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 11:30 pmI know he's made some dodgy decisions in his time, but I'd question Artetas sanity if Zinchenko is anywhere near the starting line up for the rest pf the season with Kiwior doing well at LB in the last few games. Our defence looks proper solid with him in the team now, Zinchenko better find himself a comfy seat on the substitutes benchThynker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 11:04 pmOdegaard is a class act.
