Non? - patronising mother fucker!LDB wrote: Is what you said and now I may be a bit simple but that reads to me that you put a fair amount of emphasis on population sizes, non? But whatever, you've added all sorts of caveats since then so I'll drop it.
Firstly, the caveats were in place very early in the discussion. Once I realised my off the cuff comment about population had been picked up on, I tried to nip it in the bud and explain my views in more detail... you ignored this, so I explained again... which, of course, you ignored again. Much easier to fixate on the original comment and insert patronising, cheap throwaway comments aplenty. China - seriously? "Sport must be really boring if you just compare populations" - ffs Nothing like a good baited fish hook.
Anyway, after two attempts to explain myself resulted in being further patronised, I thought asking you not to be a prick was quite reasonable.
Anyway, putting that aside, you say you don't like being called a prick, but can I ask for an honest reply here... if someone you barely knew said the sentence you did above (which, by the way, is yet again focussing on my original point rather than my follow up posts ) "I may be simple...." and ended a rhetorical question with "non?", would you:
(a) think what a wonderful chap he is,
(b) oh my, this bi-lingual gentlemen speaks French as well... he ducks and dives between the two without pause. What a maverick! or
(c) why did he end a patronsing "I may be simple" post with a rhetorical french "non"?... what a prick.
You know the answer, so when you complain about being asked not to be a prick, perhaps you should consider whether your replies are befitting of one? - cause and effect. Capiche? ( )
