Re: Nike Arsenal shirt- 20 year anniversary 1994-2014
It's certainly colourful!
I wouldn't buy one myself as I don't wear replica shirts and all that shite anyway but I can see why people might want one.
I'm glad to see the back of Nike as I don't like their products period, but all the shite about their poor CSR is exactly that though, shite! They're no worse than anyone else in the rag trade. Next, Reebok, Primark, Adidas, Tesco, GAP, they're all using labour in low cost economies. It is the norm these days. It doesn't mean it is a sweatshop or that they employ child labour.
I have a friend that is a buyer for M&S. All she buys is mens ties. The silk ties sold in the UK shop for £20 each are bought from a company in Taipee Tiawan and cost M&S £0.17 each! The factory though is spotless. All the staff have fairtrade rights as promoted by the WTO. M&S recently suspended an order with them until they built another toilet as they had too many employees for the amount of facilities provided.
Low cost/developing economies does not mean sweatshop with child labour.

I like the idea of the shirt, but the execution of this has been pretty poor.
They could have sold 000's (even with it being an interesting design) by selling at £20 as a thank you to the fans for buying the kits over the years.
Would have still made plenty of money and avoided the regular slamming AFC get over most commercial enterprise.

That's the kind of thing a retarded picasso might draw after he'd thrown up on the canvas.

Even Dave Seaman circa '96 would've flat-out refused to wear this.

If someone said that was going to be our actual kit for this season I'd prefer it to that piece of ***** Puma are having us wear

Re: Nike Arsenal shirt- 20 year anniversary 1994-2014
Seems an apt thread to put this.
20 years ago today me and mrs Lefty (Toni) we're getting married in St Lucia and our 2 year old son Liam was page boy
Toni has been putting pictures on Facebook all morning of the wedding day and I must admit that I look tipsy I blame it on the reverend who was an hour late and friends and family who should have known better than keep giving me brandy in the piano bar while I was waiting
Off to a nice hotel today for a glass or two of the good stuff
Like my Dad said (god bless him) when he first met her "son, that's the one for you", spot on Dad, spot on
