JJ's goal against QPR.

Lost the game 1-3.
Rained. :(
Played crap (and in that season...again).
Wasted £10 on first goal scorer (mind you, would probably have chosen Pat Rice before Jensen). :x
Dropped my rail ticket in the bogs at half time.

BUT....

Sitting in the West ...

"Here's to Dudu sorting the bastards out on Wednesday."

Er...are we not in danger of throwing the baby out with the bath water here?

Sky and the FA are blatantly biased towards Manchester United. They always have been. Once the Premiership was formed (which was of course the start of football ...

Although a member for a fair while now I found that I was forever not replying to threads and, as this was a bit rude, decided not to write anything but just sit on the sidelines and see what was going on.

However, I just wanted to add my small two pennysworth to say well done to you all in getting ...

Went to Turkey last year and wanted to buy a carpet (natch).

So there I am in the market and I go over to one of the stalls and say:

"I want to buy a carpet"

The stall owner says:

"I've got some grapes"

Bemused, but not to be undone, I went to another stall in the market and said

"I want to ...

i cannot see a gigantic improvement in the future, I think Flamini is a what you see is what you get player

It is not like a Hleb or a Rosicky where you always feel there is great potential...Flamini is living up to that potential now

Looking at the bigger picture...surely Arsenal need good ...

Ray Kennedy...Ashley Cole

I do apologise if this has recently been on the forum (did look through the first four pages and couldn't see anything) but...

Great article in this months Gooner featuring an interview with Ray Kennedy.

Although not a particularly lengthy piece, he comes across as a genuine guy, humble and ...

Pease Pottage First Team?

Blimey. Didn't know they even had a team, never mind a first or otherwise.

I won the cribbage league at The Grapes this year (despite that maniac cat trying to kill me).

Now THAT is true sporting legend!

only food on tonight was a packet of bacon fries...and then only if you didn't get mauled by the landlord's alligator as you neared the till.

(actually, by 'alligator' i really mean 'cat. but he is a vicious ungrateful little bastard - i gave him nearly a whole pack of extra strong mints last ...

Blackout at The Pub - Disaster

IT'S A DISGRACE!!

"The Grapes Public House, Pease Pottage, Crawley" - SEND HELP NOW.

Three beers down my neck, fourth just being poured. Quiz night about to start (right bunch of ravers us), even my girlfriend looks happy.

And then.

A fucking goddamn power cut.

No-one can work it out. The ...

OK - Just had a few beers, now back to the thread.

To pick up on some of the counterpoints raised by 26th May.

Some of your points of view are valid but two things I would take issue/debate with you...

1. "Assuage impatient fans like you (me)"

No, I'm not impatient. Just realistic. I guess it ...

£15 million is the guessed price, that is silly money for a player of his.

I'm not sure Cesc will be thinking great things if we splash out on a reasonable but expensive midfielder who doesn't really improve on what we have. Sure, we need to show we mean business but let it be getting us class ...

Second choice to Masch?

I'm not a fan, he is a decent player with a really good pass and all but the price is too high and think he will vanish in the important games.

I'm not sure the price matters (well, without being stupid about it).

It's the intent it shows...especially to any player ...

Seems to me this is THE test case for Arsenal.

If we really do have money to spend, if the club really does have the ambition to keep players like Fabregas (rather than fattening them up for a huge transfer fee), if we really are serious about chasing the coat tails of Chelsea and Man Utd then...we ...
