The trick before the game is to go to Arsenal and cross platforms and go south. It's only closed northbound. It takes a good hour to re-open after the game.

Sounds like a plan - didn't realise it was normal service if coming southbound! I'll prob still be there early enough to avoid the issue but ...

I will prob hang about for a good hour after the match so working on the reverse theory that should be enough for them to re-open again.

I travel to the Emirates several times a season and always use Highbury & Islington station. I'm going with an elderly relative to the Norwich game and thought I'd try and use Holloway Road Tube Station to save on walking.
