Absolutely, about time these 2 slackers started pulling their weight. Surely it must be written in their contracts somewhere that their job, is to lift, inspire, and if necessary, single handedly carry the entire team. With special emphasis on those that can't really be bothered (like Giroud) and those that are very well paid but are nowhere near good enough (pick from just about anybody, starting with Walcott & Ramsey.....)Nos89 wrote:You've stated I talk nonsense and rubbish but ended up agreeing with me, that the players need to look at themselves. Ozil is by far and away our player of the season but in big game's that count he hasn't delivered, neither has Sanchez. If those two can click for the last 8 games it would be raise the morale, and the play of the others in the team.GoonerMuzz wrote:Why would Barcelona sell Neymar with a mere 29 goals this season, a level Sanchez never reached? Thats nonsense.
Kane and Alli, Vardy and Mahrez, Silva and Aguero...each pairing has scored/ produced more goals for their teams than Sanchez and Ozil...we know we need a top striker but those two should be hitting Suarez and sturridge return in goals but they haven't. They need to play the best 8 games of their careers to even match the aforementioned partners.
Nos please don't talk rubbish, Sanchez has massively underperformed this season i agree but he was out for a long period and has been unable to recreate last seasons form, but to insinuate he needs to try harder is a load of, if anything he needs to tone it back and go more simple and let his form come back to him.
Ozil is not, never has been and never will be a striker so to claim someone who has scored 5 goals and has created 18 this season is under performing is a gross misrepresentation of the facts, not only that but he has created over 100 chances this season, you cannot blame him for the strikers not converting those chances some of which have been golden and they have flopped on.
Ozil is a playmaker end of story, he is not a striker, he is not a defensive midfielder or a box to box one, yes his head goes down all to often but to be honest if i was in his boat i think i'd feel similar.![]()
Yet again we are left with a situation where certain fans seem to think that one or two players should carry the whole team, you used Leicester as an example but i'd look at it another way, you have 1 or 2 really good players in that team with a whole bunch of average players playing their bollocks off which has carried the entire squad to a wholely unexpected level, to be honest our massively more expensive and supposedly superior squad should look at them and hang their heads in shame and embarrassment
So if he "decides" he doesn't ever want to leave would the AKB's be happy with that or is there a cut off?? Say 85 or 90, perhaps 95 years old... or if he dies, whichever comes first??armchair wrote:Look on the bright side mate. Im expecting a floating head scenario, similar to Marlon Brando's character in supermanbegeegs wrote:As if he will ever die....tut tut...xisstential wrote:So if he "decides" he doesn't ever want to leave would the AKB's be happy with that or is there a cut off?? They will likely have figured out how to clone his DNA into another living entity for only a slight increase to his £8 million per year salary.
Don't laugh - it's coming.

I think Hartson would love to talk bollocks but is sadly unable to !officepest wrote:Fair fucks to him for battling back from his horrible health problems; but he talks nothing but bollocks - esp. when it comes to Wenger.MrT wrote:John Hartson talking shite now
Arsene Wenger will be the Arsenal manager next season and will spend £150 million on new players this summer.. #AFCShocked at the Hatred towards Wenger by some Arsenal fans.. Clueless with short memories.. Don't hang him out to dry. #poor
The bloke spouts more shit than Martin Keown, if that's even possible.
Can you clarify one point for me please?BFG4 wrote:On the point of hating or disliking Wenger, well if you still respect him, your doing so while completely ignoring everything he has come out with in the last few years. Whether its blaming the fans for his sides failures, or defending high ticket prices in order to be more in bed with the board. It's funny, because lets say Henry said something disrespectful towards the fans, everyone would lash out at him, but similar to Wenger, the argument could be made that Henry contributed greatly to our successes as a club. Does that mean that someone should be respected regardless of what they say or do, once they contributed to the club at some point in a positive way? On the point of Kroenke, the only blame that can be given to Kroenke is for not sacking Wenger, but its Wenger who refuses to spend the money available to him. Its Wenger who makes the same mistakes very season. Any decent manager would have won the title this season, and Wenger failed.SPUDMASHER wrote:I've always tried to be more positive and have frequently defended AW on here when he has been subjected to unreasonable/unsubstantiated criticism. Don't get me wrong, there's been plenty of reasonable criticism too which I've always agreed with. Now I'm afraid I am resigned 100% to the fact that he must go. This isn't because I hate him. I could never do that because he has done great things for this club over the years. We all enjoyed some tremendous football for several years and we should be grateful for that but he has changed (been changed maybe?) over time and his focus is clearly no longer on building strong teams that can compete for trophies. He's become too embroiled in the non football aspects of the club and the lines have become blurred. He's also developed an incredible arrogance that leaves a bad taste almost every time he speaks lately.
Sadly I don't think him going will make a shred of difference at the club. Whilst we have an owner that has publicly stated that its about the money coming in not winning trophies, we don't stand a chance. I'm pretty certain in my mind that the following statements are correct, a fact which makes me sad:-
1. Wenger will leave when he is ready to, not before.
2. The board will not sack him while he is getting the cash cow that is the CL.
3. Kroenke is going nowhere and his agenda will not change.
4. The fans have no power to change this as there is too big a waiting list/tourist fans ready to fill any empty seats for any direct action to be effective.
5. Buying an ST and not going so they play to empty stadiums will not work either. You're only punishing one person by doing this and it isn't Kroenke.
6. The players also have no power to change this. If anyone doesn't fall in line, or speaks out, they'll be sold or left to rot in the reserves. If players choose to leave we'll sign others. They won't care provided that they get that 4th spot and say what you will about Wenger, he's always done that and there's no reason why he shouldn't continue to do so.
I've never known such outright contempt towards a teams supporters to be publicly shown by any club. They literally are taking the view 'If you don't like it you can fuck off. There are plenty more mugs around for us to get money from'.
That breaks my heart! It really does............ and there's NOTHING anyone can do about it.![]()

There have been several banners calling on Wenger to quit, but Koscielny said: ‘With regards to Arsene, I think he has seen other banners since he’s been at the club. The coach is very serene.
‘He knows what he’s done for the club. But I can understand the frustration of the fans, the club hasn’t won the title for a long time. But we’re doing our best every season to lift this trophy.
‘There are ups and downs in the season with injuries and lack of form, but I think the coach is still the right man to help us win the league, even if we only have a very small chance.’
On Arsenal’s chances of winning the title, the France defender added: ‘Now we’ve got eight finals left, we have no room for error any more, we’ve used up all of our joker cards.
Used up all our jokers..... then how come I still see them out there on the weekends??

I don't hate a football manager that I've never met. That's silly tbh. I want him gone. I don't like or respect what he has become. But I can seperate that and catorgarise it. I feel sorry that a man that did so much good, so many great things for The Arsenal is now so detrimental to the football club and causing so much bitter vindictiveness between Gooners. And anyone that thinks (or pretends to think) that he didn't do great things is a bullshitter. I am offended by the dismissive way he now treats Arsenal fans (something that is now inherent in our club). I also do not agree that those previous great things entitle him to some bizarre endless right to just keep on making the same ego-fueled mistakes. He has failed repeatedly. He has to go. It is a results driven business. He has not delivered enough to justify what he is paid. 2 FA Cups (whilst enjoyable at the time) is nowhere near enough for 10 years earning £7m-£8m a year. He has failed terribly in the last 8 or 9 years.
I want him gone. I don't respect him any more. I am grateful for what he did for us from 1996-2006. He often offends me. But I do not hate him. Don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of that either tbh.
