Still championing a manager who has bottled five titles in nine seasons and been limp-dicked in the other four? A manager who has gone eighteen seasons without winning the Chumpions League and has never won a European trophy in '30 years in football'?Steve_I wrote:How's the most cheerful corner of the Arsenal online world?
still championing a losing horse? What is it now; a decade of wanting our best ever manager out?
Arsenal's 'managerouters' are the crappest going. A decade of failure! Bottom of the ManagerOuter league by some distance.
Hey ho! Good luck. UTA.

If only he would announce he was leaving in 2017, it would finally give us hope. He is much too arrogant for that though and is quite likely to sign another deal until 2019. He should be fucking hounded out.Bendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:I’m all for Wenger leaving, im not going to go into why I hope he could leave on a high at the end of the season as a) its not going to happen and b) I don’t think he will be leaving!
The only way he would walk is with pressure from the fans but i don’t think even that’s really enough. I agree with the sentiments of the banner and people’s rights to show it – but not a huge fan of them myself. As for all the fighting, I hear a lot of whining from those holding the banner.......but what would the reaction be if someone showed an “Arsene is god one”? Probably receive the same treatment.
I want him gone at the end of the season, but it won’t happen. So what can we hope for? I hate the Emirates at the moment, it’s depressing, its vicious at times and i genuinely believe its cost us a couple of points across the season.
The only way I can see out of it is if he says publicly he will stand down at the end of 2017. The bile will stop, he will get one more crack at it and both sides will be happy knowing its coming to an end and maybe the support for the team and manager might improve massively on matchdays. Maybe that way there is a (small) chance he can indeed leave on a high.
Excellent postPerryashburtongroves wrote:If we had the w@nk sign emoticon, I would be using it every time I mention that *word censored* in charge. He's like an uninvited guest at a party who nobody likes and who won't leave. In any other club, somebody would just sit him down and tell him to fuck off but he's such an ego maniac that he has spent at least 10 years and possibly as many as 15 selfishly manufacturing a role for himself where he can do what he wants, when he wants. Even going back to about 2001-02, he was doing all that, I might leave, I might not sign a new contract bollocks. I honestly think it was all part of a scheming, manipulative plan to get exactly what he wanted. I reckon in about 1997-98, he had his feet under the table and started making long term plans to do absolutely everything for could to try our his plan. He realised that he would be never get another chance and wanted to try out some selfish, personal plan on a club. He tried it at Monaco and got told to fuck off and realised that in Japan he was never going to be able to make it work so when he came to us, he had the chance to do exactly what he wanted, whenever he wanted. All he needed to do was buy himself some time and luckily enough, he inherited a good squad who needed a bit of confidence and a couple of players like Vieria and Petit. Then bingo, the board thought he was some sort of fucking genius and he had them in the palm of his hand. Even as early as 2001-02, he spent fuck all, and he then realised the new ground gave him a perfect excuse to enact his plans of youth players, socialist values and penny pinching. He is a wholly selfish user who takes, takes, takes everything and does it on his terms without giving anything back. If he had even an ounce of respect for the fans or even players, he would simply piss off in May. Piss off as a failure, a fraud and and as never-has-been.

I know, its terrible. We've bottled the league five times in nine seasons...Eboue-Why? wrote:He's now saying that criticism from fans about his management is undermining our bid to win the league.
Yeah, sorry Arsene, our fault again, could never be yours could it old chum? Clearly our fault. Sorry to have ever thought that any of the shit last few weeks could ever have been down to you.
Hope you'll forgive us...
I hope St Arsene can forgive us!

Having recently 'read' the book myself, I see what you meanHenry Norris 1913 wrote:"keeping" us in the top four is what he will be judged by in terms of his actual job security, and the media. a lot of akb's have been brainwashed into thinking this is the be all and end all, disregarding the fact that wenger has huge resources at his disposal that entitle us to expect a bit of a challenge, and he is on the biggest salary in the league right now if i'm not mistaken- earning twice as much as pocchetino?!
thing is, not only are we underachieving with the squad we have, we're underachieving in the first place by having the squad we have!
fucking beggars belief that people still churn out the all beauties "be careful what you wish for" etc, it's a fucking cult. anyone who has read 1984 by george orwell will know what i'm talking about, i swear i'm not even exaggeratinghe's even resorted to trying to erase any history of previous european success at the club!

i won't be surprised if next time i go to the bowl, all 3 statues will have been altered overnight while no-one was looking to look like wenger, the honours list around the ground will all include the top four trophies, and the letters outside the south entrance will actually spell "arsene" instead of arsenal

We have won the VT. We have ALWAYS won the VT.
Defeats are victories. Defence is wrong. Passing sideways is good. Shooting is bad.
We must love Big Arsene and the glorious IngSoc revolution!

And also not automatically overpaid to ridiculous levels either.Offside wrote:You notice how Pochettino didn't brag about having a "British core". Wow. Just wow. The AKB is a fascinating sociological creature. So let me get this straight, what is said on chat forums has a direct correlation on a highly paid athlete who doesn't read forums'; performance. Also, we run the risk of rooting out fairweather fuvkwits who will choose to go support Citeh instead. Beware!northbank123 wrote:You heard it here first - you're not allowed to say a bad word about the manager or any player during the game because otherwise some kid might go off and support City instead. Let that weigh on your conscience.

If what is said on this forum has any kind of effect then I diversely hope Arsene Wenker gets the fuck out of Arsenal ASAP, and apologises for stealing a living live from Heathrow Terminal 4, as he awaits boarding his Air France one-way to Paris (he's too cheap for BA).
"Arsene is a man of such moral principles"
I reckon that rapper might have something to say about that, or the thousands upon thousands of loyal lifelong Gooners he's shat on with his "I built the club" comments. Still, we have someone saying "I want him to leave with his head held high". Yep, that's the kind of people we need at the club, unconditional gormlessness

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He is turning into Sepp Blatter with his 'I wont quit' and 'I will never give up' rants. He lives in a bubble thinking he is a fighting against vested interests and enemies of Arsenal. However, the reality is he is staying against the will of the fans simply for his own reasons. There is a toxic atmosphere at the club, and the only way all that toxic feelings will be flushed, is if we win the league, or Wenger leaves his post. Under no other circumstance will things ever go back to the way they used to be for Wenger, so when he says he is 'still the man for the job', does he really believe that based on the evidence, or is it Wenger just holding on tighter to his position. Its the later, obviously. However, Wenger is so ignorant of his surroundings that I dont think he gets it. I still remember his genuine shock after the opening day defeat to Villa a few years ago - he was genuinely surprised by the fans vitriol, and I was thinking to myself, if he had any sense of perspective, he shouldn't be surprised at all. He still also believes the fans who want him out are a small minority - again, living in a dreamworld. The pundits say Arsenal fans are split, but that still is being very generious to Wenger, as the fans who want him out are a overwhelming majority. Polls, the opinions on forums, the reactions of fans at games - it should be so obvious to Wenger. Yet it isnt.

I have the sinking feeling he'll be here to beat SAFs longevity at the Mancs.
But lets be honest no matter how much we may hate SAF it is the only worthwhile record of his that AW has a chance of beating

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I wonder how Wenger is going to feel about all his BS spouting re Walcott getting better & better if he doesn't make the England squad. And I must say it's looking increasingly unlikely with Kane, Welbeck, Vardy...Rooney to come back....... Tbh Walcott doesn't deserve it, hell he can't even make our squad and we have Giroud up front. Don't think it will bother Wenger too much though as Roy is not as experienced as him, doesn't have the same insights, the same talent spotting abilities, the same vision to see how good the player is going to become......... And even if he doesn't (which is highly likely), hey so what??

The Arsenal annual wage bill = £192 million
Despite that still cannot compete against the financial power of Leicester City...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
That is an easy accusation for Wenger to defend, he will say Leicester's title is a one off, and his record of finishing top 4 is one he is proud of.
Quite right that Ian Poulter is an Arsenal fan, we are the Poulter of the football world. We make a good living by finishing high on the leaderboard, but never likely to win a major.
As Faldo once told him, he needs to spend more time on the practice ground, and less on social media.
We just need to spend....., oh, and ditch Clueless.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The part that makes me laugh is the excitement from the AKB'S as to the supposed war-chest, Wenger has available to him in the summer. Even if Wenger actually was serious about spending big, which world class players would actually want to join us. Next season, any top player wanting to come to the PL, will have the choice of Guardiola at city, and probably Mourinho at united. Who would choose clueless over them, especially having watched the experiences of Sanchez and Ozil at the club. No player is going to waste his career, being surrounded my mediocrity, and having a manager that would rather pretend the average players at the club are world class, rather than actually addressing the issues in the squad.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Lets remember it has already been hinted that this 'warchest' is also for renewing contracts for current players, Wenger may try to tempt the big players to put aside winning titles for a huge pay increase.
Then spin the story the team is commited to his own ideas to take the club forwards.
He will also risk the public humiliation of a player (such as Ozil) telling him he sees a better punt at the Champions League elsewhere, rather than stay for a sack of cash, and sit on the Wenger/Kroenke merry go round.
The akb's can back him all they want but theres no doubt he is on very thin ice with the majority of supporters.
