I dont know for 100 pct but there was a major bust up betrween Wenger and Gazidis during this time .
Wenger didnt want the board to sell Cesc however Cesc claimed he had been promised the move to Barca by Wenger and when Wenger
renaged he went over his head and said to Gazidis he would go on strike if he didnt get a move.
Nasri had told the club he wasnt extending his contract so they wanted to sell him but again Wenger fought this .
All the above is fact heres where it gets cloudy .
Arsene had a list of possibles and probables and Gazidis went out and signed them after wenger reportedly had a hissy fit and all but refused to engage in the process in fact on deadline day he wasnt even in the UK but at a coaching seminar abroad .
One of those signed , Park was on his list and his treatment of him was shameful making him train seperately from the team at one stage b4 shipping him off .
This caused a massive fracture twixt Wenger and Gazidis and since then Dick Law has fallen under trhe wenger sphere with GAzidis frozen out !
