We have beaten a very poor Everton team, and a bunch of chancers from Watford, and this is enough for Gabriel to call it a title charge.
By comparison I have not heard so much as a half sentence from any Leicester players in the national press, they dont go gabbling to reporters, even though they have a lot more to brag about than we do.
They just get on with it, and I have no doubt once they cross the title line they will give a few interviews and soundbites, when they have something substantial to talk about.
I fully expect a new half naked selfie to emit from the Boleyn Ground dressing room if we manage a 3rd straight win.
And Wenger never shuts them down, he allows them to go out and spout this crap, even more so when they sing his praises. BUT, of course when Ozil tells the press we need to strengthen, that is "not welcome". I bet every players interview with the press has to be pre approved by Wenger. Unfortunately for him Ozil was in Germany.

It is actually sickening what one man has reduced the club to, the stranglehold he has on every aspect... gets everybody there to adopt a siege like, bunker mentality when HE comes under fire. When he gets stick he convinces the players & the entire club that the knives are out for them, when in reality he alone is the target :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

You guys are weird.

Losing to WBA,Swansea negated the two wins against the champions elect.
add a 4 nil drubbing by Southampton who couldn't buy a win at the time.
You overlooked the recent 0-0 home draw with Southampton, after which Wenger said he and his players felt "guilty".
He didnt say what of, but we can guess it was of chucking our title chance away.
Maybe that was the moment he knew the game was up.
It was our 3rd successive PL game without a goal.

Fleet street reporters said the Watford win would have 'hurt' the fans.

Spot on.

Gabriel can't even speak English for fucks sake.

That would be my gripe too - ffs the cu.nt is in the club almost 18 months and still cant even have a conversation with some of the other players without someone translating for him   I actually was chatting with my son on this subject only two days ago, and I said to him that I would have shipped the fcuker out by now - if you are in a job where the financial rewards are so great, then the least you can do is learn the local lingo so that you can communicate with people :x My young lad pointed out that the fact that he is a defender would probably make it worse because communication between defenders (and the keeper) is so much more vital than in any other part of a team

Troy Deeney on MOTD2
'In terms of talking to each other, the whole Leicester defence never stopped for the entire game, including Kasper Schmeichel in goal.
'And if Danny Drinkwater did not hear the right call then he was always going back from midfield and asking what was what too. That is one of the reasons they are so well organised at the back.
'

Maybe there is something in this talking to each other our defenders can learn from. and drop the deaf and dumb routine, far be it from me to be in a position to judge the methods of a man who has 30 years experience in football.

Yeah, sorry Arsene, our fault again, could never be yours could it old chum? Clearly our fault. Sorry to have ever thought that any of the shit last few weeks could ever have been down to you.

Hope you'll forgive us...
Amazed it's taken this long for him to trot it out. As usual though with Wenger it's calculated - had he said it straight after the Swansea game then he would have been lambasted by everybody such was the dire level of performance and following the shower of shite at Old Trafford for which no excuse is plausible. Instead he waits for the end of the international break after two weeks of no focus on England and features on Leicester and Spurs.

Although his sanity is seriously questionable, SteveI does make a genuine point about the futility of this anti-Wenger sentiment. I just think that half of the fans that go to the home games aren't particularly bothered - Highbury wasn't perfect atmosphere-wise but all the people I sat near knew their stuff and cared. At the Emirates I've spent tens (if not hundreds) of games surrounded by people who shell out well north of a grand on a ST to sit there in silence, express no opinion, clap politely when appropriate and seem generally disinterested.

Whilst the issue of Wenger is a divisive one and frankly AKBs are the ones fuelling the issue and continued flailing of the club, I do have a certain basic level of respect for any person who loves the club and is passionate in their views. But whilst I have long since resisted slagging off the ST holders of the club en masse, in my view there are thousands upon thousands of them who don't fit into that category.
On the subject of clapping - I remember being present at the Bowl for one of Ozil's first game, and people were clapping him for every successful pass. How fucking embarrassing :banghead:

Being your stereotypical Irish/British guy, I speak absolutely no continental European language  However even though I only ever visit spain on holidays, I still purchased a set of "learn Spanish dvd's" in a bid to be able to speak to them in their language - granted I haven't yet opened the box, but at least the thought was there

The part that bugs me most about this season is the utter acceptance, (so many of our fan-base have) for the mediocrity we have been subjected to. At the start of the season, had any of us been told, the league winners would be Leicester, and all of the other top teams would capitulate, there would be an expectation that it would be the final straw for most of our fans, and they would hound Wenger out. What we have seen in reality is a couple of anti-Wenger banners, and a few boos after a poor result, which happens every season. The wins over Everton and Watford seem to have been enough for many to be happy with the club again. The most laughable part of this shit season is that when Leicester are lifting the title in May, some of our fans will be saying that a 2nd place finish(for the first time since 2005) and another season above Spurs equals a successful season.

I can see where you are coming from.

but..a couple of things
1) I think in a way the fact that Leicester City are going to win it is actually easier for the fanbase to stomach. It means we finish above Chelsea, United , City etc. Also the fact that they could deny Spurs is a huge relief.
2) if you had said to me at the start of the season that we we were going to finish second then I would have been happy with this

now obviously in the context of how the season has panned out I am not happy, but I think the above views are why you are not seeing open revolt at the Emirates.
