Maybe because that was in a competition we had a realistic chance of winning. Yesterday was your run of the mill VT win, when there is zero pressure. I can't speak for anyone else, but I felt massively indifferent to yesterday's game. It was the perfect con job, perform like world beaters when it doesn't matter, but crumble under any pressure.Nos89 wrote:A 4-0 win and only 10 pages on the thread. Last time out in FACup defeat 26 pages of slagging off Wenger and the players and club.
Good solid performance and 3 points closer to the team above us COYG

Wow. What a surprise. Pressure is off? Out of everything? Need a few wins to get that 4th place spot? Yep - suddenly we are brilliant again.DB10GOONER wrote:We'll beat them (probably comfortably) because there is nothing really of value to play for so there is no pressure - and it just wouldn't be this current Arsenal side without a late season flat track bully run when it's too late to actually win the PL but just in time to finish in the Top 4.![]()
3-0 to The Arsenal. Whoopee.

Why could we not blow Watford away like this when it mattered?

For all Wenger's horseshit about mental strength, this is probably the most gutless, mentally weak, Arsenal team of his reign, maybe only surpassed by the spineless shite between 09-12 that included (at various stages) wasters like Alex Mong, Bendtner, Flappy, Lazy Arshavings, JET, Djourou, Vela and Legohead Denilson.

Same old Arsenal....typical bully boys... Where was this performance in the Cup game ? Also the lucky Wenger finds his best starting line up by accident but will probably take credit for it.

And the Emperor still wears no clothes.
Totally meaningless demolition of a safe, mid-table team with one eye on the cup they put us out of. It’s funny how when the pressure drops we roll over a ‘minnow’ in true flat-track bully style; but I do wish that, for once, we could play with verve and style when it actually mattered.
On the positive side; it was nice to see Sanchez actually looking like a professional footballer again, Iwobi continues to impress and I was absolutely delighted that Feo got the goal his recent contributions have warranted.
