THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
You just wanna pull out your hair, don't you? He is destroying the club the damn idiot, for me at least. I sometimes feel as if I was an Arsenal fan, as it is just becoming ever more difficult to be "an enthusiastic devotee" of this business model pretending to be the Arsenal (I know I am disproving this by getting all worked up over it in the first place). We all know he was never an unintelligent man, I seriously always thought he was just extremely arrogant, but this season's statements definitely shows he has truly lost the plot completely. It wouldn't be the first time in history where the man in power has simply been ruined by power. When the whole league will soon be able to pretty much buy players from the top shelves we might find ourselves settling quite a few spots down from 4th place glory.

Now we have Giroud drifting out to the wing and crossing it into an empty penalty area, or playing too deep to be of any useaugie wrote:You could maybe understand it if we were a pubis team where our tactic centred around playing high diagonal balls to the worlds greatest Danish striker as he towers over the opposition full back, but we were the original tippy tappy go nowhere football team and having that big lump out on the wing was ridiculouscasgooner wrote:Bendtner was often out on the wing. And how many players has he screwed up and wasted thanks to his obsession with playing them out of position? Too many!casgooner wrote:It worked with Henry, so he tries it every time to see if he an get the next world class player.

That to me is a bit of a myth - before henry went to juve he played for Monaco as a striker and winger, so it isn't as though wenker suddenly turned him into a striker when he stepped into the marble halls

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
A question for all Gooners.
This season is yet another wasted opportunity but it will doubtless be spun as a great success when we finish 3rd or 4th. After that Wenker's contract extension will probably be announced. How will you feel at that point??
A) I'll give up cos I can't take the frustration anymore
B) I'll re-double my efforts to hound the old fraud out.
C) I'll turn my protests onto Kroenke
D) I'll get behind the team
E) I'll attend Steve O's barbecue, eat all his food, drink all his beer and piss in his flowerbeds.
In the absence of any real protests, I will probably go for option A as I really couldn't take 3 more seasons of Wenker's self deluded crap. Possibly option E if Steve O promises endless beer.

I've already laid my cards on the table and stated that I am finished with the club if this w*nker gets a new contract
My two sons were brought up as Gooners and were told in no uncertain terms that they had no choice in the matter - I announced to them a fortnight ago that if the arrogant c.unt gets a new contract then they will be free to support another club if they so wish, because I refuse to force them to support a club whose only ambition is financial profits and who continually shits on its fans and lets a senile old c.unt ruin the club in the process

I've wanted him gone since 5 May 2009 but since then we've gone backwards whilst his bullshit has got far far worse. Add in to that the takeover by the wig wearing parasite and I've just become tired of it all. I don't get any enjoyment from Arsenal any more, especially when it costs so much.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I'll be fucking devastated that The Old Fraud will still be here fucking up our club, holding it back and pissing on its history and supporters, but I am fully expecting the extension to happen, given the rumours of the 2019 extension that have gone on for most of this season. I am resigned to it. More soul-crushing purgatory to come.Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:A question for all Gooners.

I can't lie that watching our games is turning into a chore given all the tedious shot-shy, sideways shite we play and our general gutlessness. If all there is to look forward to is winning the VT, an occasional FA Cup (when we can be arsed to take it seriously) and being buttfucked in the Be All and End All; what is the fucking point? The fact that we are so close to being a winning side - if that stubborn cunnt would make the signings that need to be made and change the style of play - is the worst thing. I'd rather be mid-table with no illusions, than this endless VT close-but-never-close-enough blue balls shite. Fuck it.
The lack of any major fan protests after eight seasons of predictable failure in the league is also a big frustration. Cashburton is locked down so that only leaves away games to protest at and no-one is keeping up the pressure on the club and TOF.
I despair at these last eight seasons. Can't we have a football manager who ruthlessly wants to win trophies running the club for a change, instead of this pussy bank manager?
Looks like you'll be finished with the club thenaugie wrote:I've already laid my cards on the table and stated that I am finished with the club if this w*nker gets a new contractMy two sons were brought up as Gooners and were told in no uncertain terms that they had no choice in the matter - I announced to them a fortnight ago that if the arrogant c.unt gets a new contract then they will be free to support another club if they so wish, because I refuse to force them to support a club whose only ambition is financial profits and who continually shits on its fans and lets a senile old c.unt ruin the club in the process

We all know how this plays out. He'll be here for years to come unless the fans finally hound the bastard out

I stopped going to the Grave in 2012 and a while later the Mrs and I cancelled our memberships. I won't give Kroenke's bum-chums another penny until Wanger is history.Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:A question for all Gooners.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He sounds more of an idiot every week.
First of all you are going to get stick for not signing diamonds like Payet and Kante. Personally I think it's a bit harsh because all of the top clubs overlooked them and even if we had signed them they wouldn't have prospered as much as in their respective teams. I do have a gripe that we didn't sign any outfield players obviously, but I wouldn't pick two fairly obscure signings as the main stick to beat him with. But he just needs to keep his mouth shut instead of pretending to be the fucking oracle all the time who knows every player on the planet in great depth but hasn't found one who can improve our squad.
Secondly sit back and watch as he will in some twisted way try and take credit for Leicester's success by virtue of fighting the good fight against nasty clubs who sign good players and try and win trophies like City, United and Chelsea.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
That was me exactly 2 years ago. Back then in April 2014 I had decided I definitely had to finish with the club if Wenger signed a new deal. I had had more than I could take and couldn't stand the thought of going through the same season again and again. However, I just knew when Wenger scrapped through that Wigan semi final that he had saved his skin and would be offered another contract. If he'd lost that game I think he was gone.augie wrote:I've already laid my cards on the table and stated that I am finished with the club if this w*nker gets a new contractMy two sons were brought up as Gooners and were told in no uncertain terms that they had no choice in the matter - I announced to them a fortnight ago that if the arrogant c.unt gets a new contract then they will be free to support another club if they so wish, because I refuse to force them to support a club whose only ambition is financial profits and who continually shits on its fans and lets a senile old c.unt ruin the club in the process

I'll tell you though, finishing with the club is not as simple as it sounds because this is what happens:
1) People who know you will always talk to you about Arsenal.
2) You will get text updates from family friends, workmates at key moments (for example I got several on that glorious night in Athens even though I was watching a film and wanted Arsenal to be knocked out)
3) If Arsenal play well or are having a good mini-run of results, people will assume you're happy and will soon change your mind about not following them.
4) You will get introduced to people at work/social events as 'a big Arsenal fan' and then through gritted teeth you’ll have to go along with the ensuing conversation. The other persons will try and say complimentary things about the football Arsenal play being the best in the league ... or they'll tell you how much they admire Wenger (not realising how much you want to punch them in the face)
5) If you dont read or hear the latest drivel Wenger has come out with, someone will think you need to know and tell you.
6) At some point in the season, usually around Christmas when there are a lot of social events to go to … you’ll learn that once again many people are deluded because of Arsenals current form … and in their wisdom they will tell how 'they fancy Arsenal for the title this year’ expecting that you’ll agree. And if you don’t, they cannot understand why you are being so negative.
7) And perhaps worst of all ... you will then realise just how often Arsenal games are on the fucking telly. Virtually every fucking game is shown. And sods law you will always be somewhere that is showing the damn game so you'll have to endure it

My apathy for the results and performances in the 2014/15 season and beyond did surprise a few people who hadn’t taken me seriously when I said I’d packed it in. That should have been the end of the story but slowly the effects of the void that has been created start to kick in. Resentment , anger, bitterness and frustration. Stuck in the middle of having failed to break away from the club completely ... whilst at the same time knowing the club you loved is gone for good.
I'm at a stage now where I wished Wenger had never set foot in our club. I really mean that. I'd trade in those fantastic first 8 years not to see the club as it is now. A club with nothing to like about it. Irreparable damage has been done.
Many people who agree Wenger should go still do not understand why I hate Wenger so much. I hate him because he has turned Arsenal into a club I do not want to support anymore. A few great years at the start is not worth the price we paid. In fact it was those early years that created the monster Wenger became. And then Wenger destroyed us.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
One, its Leicester who may prove you dont need to spend money to win the title. And if they do, its Leicester and Ranieri's success to own. The french muppet better not use Leicester success as some sort of validation of how he was right. It would be like a scientist trying to prove a theory, he fails, but another scientist proves the theory, yet the failed scientist wants the credit for 'having the idea'.
And where the F does Wenger get off aligning himself with Leicester City? When he manages one of the biggest clubs in England, with a wage bill not far behind City and Chelsea, with transfer fees paid of 42m and 35m in recent times.
If he wants to operate on Leicester City budget, there would be smaller clubs willing to take him. But he is a fraud, as he knows he cant operate on a smaller budget - he operates on a massive budget but pretends to be on a small budget.
Why dont the media call him out? Tell him Arsenal expenditure is close to Chelsea and City than it is to Leicester.
Look at the little worm, trying to align himself next to Ranieiri and Leicester City.
The man has no shame.

Hasnt Wenger got previous on this aligning himself with another club putting in a title challenge though? I am pretty sure he did something similar 2 years ago when Liverpool were on the verge of winning the title. Instead of this proving he was failing; they were actually proving him right that you don't need to spend

This is why I will never accept he was ever covering for the board. The man just refuses to take the blame when he is blatantly at fault so there is no way he would take the blame when it really wasn't his fault.

Here it is lads the coveted "Expected Goals" Trophy we are going for !
The only thing that can fuck this up is if we start scoring lots of goals but don't worry folks its not gonna happen !~
