Still longing for us to sign Shane Long and Jon Walters I see Sid :D

T20 finalists and Six Nations Winners

And if ye could have only won the Eurovision, then ye would be celebrating a glorious treble right now
:D :D I see you've finally found something that Oireland have won on more occasions.

I bet Sid's got pictures of Dana and Johnny Logan all over his walls, and sits down his local telling everyone how overrated Cliff Richard and Sandie Shaw were. In fact, I bet there's a conspiracy theory that it was only a dodgy Russian judge that voted for Sandie back in 1967

Don't forget that Eurovision equivelent of deliberate handball that was when one of the birds from Buck's Fizz went nickerless and swayed the vote ;)

On a side note, that was THE moment when an innocent Rodders looked over his Lego blocks, got an eyeful and the rest as they say is history .......all circumstantial, but history none the less ;)

Some of the stories doing the rounds about Yaya wanting 400k p.w. and Zlatan 800k have confirmed my fears for the PL.

The new TV deal is bringing biilions extra, but what will happen to it? It would be nice to think that the best players will be brought in (and I suspect many will), but it certainly won't lead to reduced TV subscriptions, or lower prices, or better facilities.

The money will either go to avaricious owners (take a bow SilentStan) or to the players. But will 50k p.w. extra make Jack or Theo or any of the others players better? Will they try harder? No. At best they'll do the same as they are doing now. Maybe, they'll get complacent and lazy earlier in their careers than they would have.

There must be something very wrong in the world when Xherdan Shakiri plays for Stoke.

With Conte and Guardiola joining the Premier League clubs is an indication of how great the league actually is. It attracts the best managers, they will attract players of top quality that fancy a proper competitive league. With Mourinho angling for a top job then it could be argued the top 4 managers in the world will be in the premier league. Guardiola, Conte, Klopp and Mourinho. Only Ancellotti is missing but he's already won the League with Chelski. It does feel like we're going to fall behind when we should be ahead given that at the moment Utd, Chelski and Liverpool are unlikely to feature in the Champions League. Given our consistency in qualifying for that competition we should have top quality players queing up at Wenger's front door. I know the reason why they are not, and that's where Gazides and the board need to start earning their wages.
