As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The very next game after we've managed to oust the prick by all means display the Kroenke banner, until then a united front is needed with one clear agenda - getting rid of the turnip bastard
Exactly!! Because what Wenger will do is go to Kroenke and say ...they want us out so we need to show a united front. That's what he does, a couple of weeks ago he spoke of the club being under attack. NO, it's you who are under attack, YOU are not the club.
Agree with the comment about how Wenger tries to save face by pretending to know about an issue, in order to avoid looking like he doesnt know whats going on.
Which does beg the question, if its an issue you are aware off, why not address it, rather than allow the issue to play out during a match which negatively impacts the result?
When we lost to Monaco, he said the team was naive, when we lost to Barcelona at the same stage 12 months later, he said the team was naive. This was his comments after the Barcelona defeat:
"The regret I have is that once we look like we are dominating the game in the last 15-20 minutes we give the goal away. Similar to Monaco, naive, that is what is frustrating. When we looked like we could win this game we just gave it away."
Okay, so why wasnt the naivety in bombing forward addressed after the Monaco defeat? Why was it allowed to happen again 12 months later Wenger always tries to whitewash himself from what happens on the pitch.
We were naive against West Ham as well. Why were our wingbacks bombing forward despite being 2-0 up? Are we really that one dimensional that we cant make simple adjustments based on the how the game is playing played out? Literally, amateur football teams can make these in game adjustments.
So in addition to the stupid contracts handed out, the spineless showings and mental weaknesses, the simple inability to learn from repetitive errors is another reason Wenger needs to go.
Why do we saddle ourselves with him? He is like a rusty old ball and chain. Id cut through my leg just to get away form the fool. He really is becoming utterly intolerable.

I'm at a stage now where I wished Wenger had never set foot in our club. I really mean that. I'd trade in those fantastic first 8 years not to see the club as it is now. A club with nothing to like about it. Irreparable damage has been done.
I would be interested to know if anybody else shared these sentiments.
I heard/saw a quote yesterday from someone(not sure if it was on TV or on here I saw it)but it was attributed to Viera, tht wengers biggest strength was his trust in his players and his biggest weakness was his trust in his players.

Who'd have thought West Ham would hit high balls to their 7ft tall striker? I've managed "zero games" but I could have told you that.
And what did Wenger do at half time about the threat Carrol was posing...... NOTHING!! I said after they trooped off at half time he would get his hat trick.... and sure enough. Mertersacker would have been a better bet as we needed an aerial presence, their speed on the ground wasn't a problem as Carroll is even slower than Giroud. Mertersacker is so cowardly that who knows...... but he might have at least intercepted some of the balls before they got to him?? And he couldn't surely have been any worse?? But hey, what do I know, I haven't been managing for 30 years.

Me too! I take it you do not?
I admit it ts a tragic way to look at it because those were great years, great memories. I can only speak for myself but the memories are now tainted for me. For a few years after first wanting Wenger out (around 2009) I was able to isolate the good times but I cant anymore ... because those years are what created the position we are in now.
The adulation Wenger received and the praise he had showered on him, the power it gave him, the bust that was commissioned etc ... are the very reason he became the out of control egomaniac that destroyed the club as it was and allowed him to mould it into his image.
I no longer attend games after going week in week out for more than 30 years. I doubt I will ever go regulalrly again because Wenger has made permanent changes (The Emirates being the most devastating).
So for me personally the price we have paid for that early success has been too high.

Im with you clash 100% id give up all the success to have our club back.I think those early years and in particular the invincible season made le bumhole think he is invincible.
I'm sure that five years ago, fans would have tolerated all the shite given the Invincibles season. These days, I'm sure that many fans would happily have given up the invincibles season just to have a new manager at the club.
That season created a monster. He was untouchable. Then when Dein was forced out, he became the absolute dictator he is today. His fucking stubbornness and obsession with youth, lightweight players and sideways football has destroyed his legacy. Building Cashburton also gave him the perfect excuse for failure and bought him a few years grace, as well as rooting out most of the old school fans in favour of Tarquins and tourists who will never show dissent. He has ripped the heart and soul out of this club.
I posted this in the match thread:
Sean wrote:You just know the club are pussy enough to only announce the undeserved, soul-destroying and predictable contract extension during the Euros, given what a fucking disaster 2016 has been for us, with yet another title bottled. So much for The Old Fraud 'building the club'; he has certainly destroyed the passion and identity of the club and for that I will never forgive him.
This season (and the past seven) has been torture. Rife mismanagement and negligence from top to bottom. Most of this team - and TOF - deserve to be battered, the absolute cunnts.
Anyway, fuck all this. How many 'expected goals' did we 'score' today? I don't think we'll be winning the Calendar Year Trophy again this year though.
I also agree that banners need to be on display in all future games if we are to have any hope of forcing The Old Fraud to have a hissy fit and walk away, as well as postponing any Kroenke protests until TOF is forced out first. UTA
still no excuse at all for dropping cech, he did it once in the CL and it cost us 3 points, again today just him playing around and most probably cost us, not just with the lack of physicality but the defensive organisation, and to leave out the german as well- fucking joke. if that was LVG or anyone else making those sort of absolutely atrocious errors week in week out they'd be slaughtered, but hey arsene gave us a stadium so let's give him a pass

What is so staggering is that he could have done something to at least correct it at half time, but he just allowed them to lurch on and Carroll scored again??? He manages by formula, he doesn't make changes at half time no matter what is going on on the field. One goal up and he brings defensive players on at the 60/65 minute mark. POOR defensive players. Or he sits idly by until we fall behind then brings Walcott & Giroud on. Walcott & Giroud!! Makes you wanna weep. And Ramsey is back, he will be in the starting line up no matter what, until he gets injured again.
The problem with this to$$er is that he thinks making changes is an admission that he made a mistake so he would rather lose than admit to that.
And remember back to when we thought Kos was good?? Now we can see it was because those alongside him were just so much worse.
Are our fans celebrating being 13 points behind Ranieri's Leicester yet?
Isn't it hilarious seeing that Leicester team with an 11 that cost less than Sanchez alone, giving a lesson in how to perform under pressure in a title race. They are doing this, with average journeymen players like Drinkwater, Vardy and Morgan. Contrast with the £193m wage bill Wenker FC, and it's abundantly clear what the problem is.
