Remember?
Arsene "worked miracles" to keep us in a distant 4th place during the "austerity years"! Wonder what that makes Ranieri?

Everything. Everything we have said about him is true........
He is a fraud and a liar and a coward. Always had money. Always.
Even during the "austerity years". £30mil per season was HUGE back then and he didnt fully utilise it or else he pissed it up against the wall

Interesting comment H Winter made about not having any football expertise on the board, surely they don't need it as AW is a de facto board member

Not being at the AST kind of dumbs things down a bit but the impression i get following those tweets is that although he was putting in some blows he was cushioning them with a laugh an a joke as he went and there lies the problem, everything is done tongue in cheek as though AW and the players are a bunch of cheeky scamps who never quite do anything wrong and when they do it's never really that bad that it needs serious punishment :banghead:

Oh well at least things aren't settling down in the media so much this time :box:

Remember how every year, someone from the board would go public about "the war chest". (Never Wenger though funnily enough). Turns out there ALWAYS was a "war chest" but the coward Wenger was afraid to use it to improve us.

Fiszman revealed soon after the move to the Emirates that the stadium generated £50m a year more in revenue than Highbury did. Take away the annual loan repayment of £20m and there's £30m right there.

Of course Wenger made people believe (quite deliberately I'm sure) that his hands were tied and that he had to raise that £20m every year before doing any other business. Misleading and utterly despicable but that's Wenger for you.

I truly can't believe how anyone can still believe in the man, defend him and want him to stay. How anyone can even utter the words "Be careful what you wish for",..

The truth is it is all just so fucking boring! Every season the title is done by March and we go on a winning sequence of matches that manages to convince those sitting on the fence that the following season will be different. As we know, there is nothing that fucking great about finishing top four and being also rans in the Champions League. Call me crazy but it would be nice to be enthusiastic, passionate and excited about football again. A new manager might well bring a few seasons of 7th place or whatever, finishes, but if things were moving in the right direction there is the thrill of rising again, having a go at things like the Europa League whilst proper foundations are laid for a future title run, not the house of cards title chases that Wenger bullt. And if that didn't materialise with a new manager, then look at someone else, what we always used to along with every other club. Wenger has become so entrenched that even after he leaves it is not unreasonable to worry that he would still have a lot of influence, and any success a future manager would achieve would be lauded "as only possible because of the foundations laid by Arsene". :rubchin:

I believe initially Wenger thought he was smart enough to build a team and win without spending money. When he eventually realised he couldn't I think he was second guessing himself so much that he was, and still is, scared to spend tons of money because he probably knows he will still fail. So if he makes out he's really frugal, his results ie. CL every season appear to be quite an achievement. Appear being the key word because if you scrutinise our wage bill you will realise our expenses are right up there with the other big clubs. But our results ARE NOT. It's all BS, all of it, smoke & mirrors, lies & deception by a man who has turned into a complete fraud.

I wonder what happened to the money not spent then?

I mean 30M per year over how many years and no way did we spend even half of that.... so where is it?

What's this about Henry Winter absolutely eviscerating Wenger at an AST meeting? When did a mainstream journalist grow a pair of testicles and open their eyes?

Obviously Wenger has been a prissy little prick one time too many and seriously put Winter's nose out of joint to persuade him to go out on such a limb and piss off so many AKBs.

Wenger will undoubtedly be questioned on it and hopefully as usual he won't be able to resist some smart condescending swipe at Winter and the media at large. Would love to see this spat escalate and get uglier.

To be fair to winter, he has been a long term defender of wenger but this season he has finally seen the crock of shit for what it is, and has criticised wenger on numerous occasions  I think that it is fair to say that HW would probably viewed as THE most respected footie journo in England, so his motives wont be questioned and nor will his opinions be rubbished as easily

Nice to see a hack finally say it like it is. But will he stick to that line and write articles exposing what a fraud Wenger has become? Will the rest of the media?

None of these 'revelations' are surprising at all. The club make a fuck-ton of money and TOF refuses to spend it because he's a coward and doesn't have David Dein taking care of business.

Still, Gooners need to keep pressure on TOF and hope the media can finally put him under the spotlight until be breaks and walks away. It's pretty much the only way it can happen.

Wrighty, legend that he is an all, looks like a right stupid c unt now. Criticising the banners, insulting those that show them and refusing to say a negative word about "the boss"
Now we have someone who can actually start and finish a coherent sentence, a respected journo saying that hes amazed that the long-suffering Arsenal supporters dont protest more.

I seen that Wrighty said that he believes that The Old Fraud will leave at the end of his contract next year.

He obviously doesn't know about the two-year extension then...

Yes. Yes they actually do. Sadly
