c***s AKA the scum

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope that Danny Welbeck goal we all celebrated so wildly that beat Leicester doesn't come back to haunt us now. I'd gladly give Leicester a point from that game now, Christ I'd give them all 3 if I could!

Don't worry, Rodders. The scum won't win it. Leicester are in that grind the results out mode. They need a max of 3 wins and I'm betting the scum will still drop points as well. Also, Ranieri has the Leicester players totally focused and grounded, you won't see them giving press conferences every week talking about how great the group is and how the belief is there and what they will win and all that old Walcott/Giroud shite.

I don't recall anyone from the club saying at the time that we'd have to wait maybe 15 or 20 years to compete with the best teams in the world. I could have sworn the lying fuckers meant within 2 to 5 years. :|

Done and dusted.

They can afford to draw with Stoke now I'd say, not that they will.

sorry matey, :) i am not going to compare us to Villa or Newcastle who have been on the slippery slope for a few seasons now and both seemingly to be relegated. Thank fuck we are nowhere near that bad.
But it show's what poor management from top to bottom can have an effect on a club. We have gone from a top 2 club, to a top 4 club and soon it will be a top 7 club. You have to feel with changes coming at City, Chelsea and Man Utd and the emergency of Tottenham and possibily Liverpool under Klopp. Things will get tougher and throw West Ham in to the mix with there stolen new ground and Bilic doing a good job and Everton are massively under achieving with the players they have.

It wouldn't surprise me if you see 1, City 2, Chelsea, 3 Man U, 4, Liverpool, 5 Tottenham 6, West Ham then us and Everton. Especially if we have another dire summer of piss poor transfers.

Not going to disagree with you Rosie, i don't think you're far off with your analysis.

For too many years we've been coasting under our current manager and board and as fans living, rightly to a point, off past glories and successes but for once i really do see next season as a potential banana skin.

It's a frightening thought that potentially we could be the third best team in London next season and within a few more possibly the fourth if things don't change.

I am fairly confident that we'll stay ahead of Spammers next season purely because i think it'll take a season or two for them to settle in and for their increased money revenue to pay dividends but i'm also not as convinced that Spurs are having a flash in the pan season either, they have an average squad but a better manager than us which can make a huge difference and tbh we might abuse them for who they are but they only need to tweak the playing squad next season if they can hold on to who they have whereas even if our manager left i still feel we need a root and branch clear out.
