As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

People who want you to give up your season ticket are always those who don't have one, funny that aint it.
Yeah they must all be bloody well jealous I tell ya! HAH I got a chance to pay £1500 to watch a team with less home league goals than Newcastle! Jealous bastards!
It's not about being jealous or otherwise, I don't get your point. All I've said is, it's very easy to push the point about someone giving up a season ticket when you don't have one yourself. It's quite a consideration when you've been on the list for ages and have to weigh that up against not getting one for years more once the post-Wenger era arrives.
I cant understand why anyone could get angry about today's game. This was nothing more than a run-out for the purpose of finishing in the top 4. Is anyone really bothered if we drop points in every game between now and the season ending against Villa?
Have ordered one will get to the last game (home) cannot afford any before then.
I ordered mine last Thursday on 3-4 day delivery so hoping it will arrive before Thursdays game.
I will probably post on the WBA match thread when it arrives.
If you haven't guessed, it will be the same as my avatar.
You mean all nightmares must come to an end right??
Just kidding mate, am grateful that you are bringing a banner to the ground
"It doesn't take too long a memory to look back to New Year's Day 2008. Arsenal were top of the league that season but a run of poor form saw them eventually finish third..."

Cracking match with terrific goals. The noise after each goal got everyone excited.
Yes, I know our match wasn't a derby but the noise after we scored died away after 10 seconds. Kinda lame.
We have a 60000 seater stadium that wastes home advantage in all games. It's such a shame.
Utd are the same now too.
mate i watched it and loved the atmosphere, the tribalism.
the match at the emirates will be delayed halfway through if someone from club level drops their fucking prawn sarnie and at hampden today you have so much passion, a wide variety of songs and pyro. fucking electric there, better watching that on telly than being in the bowl. and i haven't been there since 2012 and have no intention of going again
Giroud isnt any better than Defoe, Carroll, Deeney, Arnautovic. Let alone Aguero, Kane, Lakuku and Vardy.
You cant look past his goal scoring record and not just wither is disbelief (12 in 30). Playing with Ozil and Sanchez, he should theoretically score more, but he doesnt - he is trailing Defoe and has played more games. Yet before the season Wenger shot back as suggestions he wasnt good enough, and said Giroud was as good as Aguero, Lewandowski and Benzema.
Why isnt Wenger being held accountable for his judgement and its connection with our poor finishing? If you dont finish chances, it may have to do with the fact you have goal shy striker being outdone by strikers of clubs in the bottom 3. Wenger is again 'dismayed' at our inability to put away our chances and not being clinical, yet the dumb *word censored* has pinned his hopes on a lethargic donkey who has never scored frequently. If you hop in a car with no fuel, dont complain when you dont reach your destination. Likewise, when you back a useless striker the masses said wasnt not good enough, dont dare express 'dismay' at our inability to finish chances.
Of course through, Wenger just couldnt resist backing Giroud - the opportunity to prove us all wrong was too much for him to pass up.
Is there anything left to say about this manager and this team?
All I will say is that it was the biggest 2 fingers up to the fans yet when he made the 3 substitutions because from where I was sitting the consensus view was that Elneny, Iwobi and Welbeck had probably been the 3 most effective players out there

Watched quite a bit of it. Standard was very poor (even the likes of Newcastle and Norwich would coast past them) but to be fair to Rangers they moved the ball at pace and tried to play some good stuff. Thought Celtic were dull and uninspired.
The atmosphere in those games is great but it is also toxic in a way that no game here is - there is just pure hatred and bile spelling from both fans. I've never heard such a racket at half time whistle!
Turning to us it wasn't until the 2011/12 season where we stopped rolling over teams at home as every side realised they could get a result here. Same happened with United under Moyes after decades of teams going up there to have their tummies tickled and now both teams actually have to turn up to win most home games.

Mr vanilla (aka smudger) said after the game yesterday that there needs to be serious questions asked and an inquest held at the end of the season, to find out why our season has been shit (my word not his) again - if he is saying that, then you know that wenger is no longer been protected by the media and smudger has hinted that wenger needs to be questioned

Unfortunately, this is the problem with the old school support giving up season tickets or having self imposed bans. The atmosphere is generally poor, with little dissent against the manager/board.
It's hard to work out a solution...whilst I agree paying for tickets is supporting the regime I believe by giving up we are handing our club over to the tourists without a fight.
Personally I have rented a season ticket for the last 5 seasons and am around the 14k mark on the waiting lis for my own one.. I have often said I won't be driven out and will only stop going when I no longer enjoy it. Unfortunately I think that day has now come ...I think I've only enjoyed the bayern game, the second half against Leicester and the first half against the mancs this season...not exactly value for a grand.
So I'll just use my red membership next season and pick my games...my dilemma will be when I get offered a season ticket in my name.

Why bother naming more than 3 subs? They were the players he was always going to bring in whatever and in an impressive show of consistency they all pu In the same sort of performance they have for the last 2-4 years.
Turned down a freebie and whilst I couldn't avoid watching our lot saunter around for the first 45 I had a far more pleasant second 45 on the Northern and Piccadilly lines.
Managed to catch the very end and see Palace nearly win it after Ramsey and Coquelin showed zero nous to not bring their player down and Koscielny then pussyfooted in. This after His Lord and Saviour Francis Coquelin masterfully showed the bloke inside and got skinned all ends up for the goal. Like all of our youngsters the guy has barely lasted a year before starting to regress. You could see from first minute yesterday that he doesn't see Palace at home worthy enough of playing his defensive role as he was bombing forward at every opportunity. He's just not willing to do the dirty work when it doesn't suit him and he is looking every bit the player he is - an average midfielder who wouldn't get a look-in at a club serious about winning the title who had somebody other than Arteta and Flamini for competition.

That has been my point all season when others have been going into *****-a-thon mode over him - coquelin is far and away the best DM option that we have, but the reality is that he is still nowhere near good enough to play at the highest level and was playing with Charlton for good reasons
