I want him gone, as ive said before the best thing all round (realistically) is for him to announce he steps down at the end of next year when his contract ends - the fighting stops, there is light at the end of the tunnel, the crowd will subsequently get behind the team more and maybe he can leave with some dignity.

I want him gone now, but it simply wont happen.
Hopefully, next season, we will get to see that "top quality striker" Giroud some people talked about. Oh and our fans will get to "just go out and enjoy" another routine humping v Barca because ya know....it's ridiculous to even suggest beating them right?
Oh unless your manager is a guy with far less money like Simeone of course....

Doesn't work for me bdb - why should we have to sacrifice another season just so the c.unt is allowed to see out his contract ? Do you honestly believe that the fighting will stop even if we are shit next season ? Clubs do change managers mid-season (and in some cases it actually works out well) and I will still be calling for his dismissal if our performances and motivation are as shit next season as they are in this one. I keep coming back to the money aspect of this - if there is an acceptance on both sides that wenker's time is up, then why should the fans be expected to shell out money on tickets when the club have accepted that things need to change but are not willing to do it for another 12 months ?

I agree Augie - but he will be here 100% next season no matter what happens in my view - so thats the only way i can see us getting something out of the short term future, people can still stay away of course, but it might help the fans unite a bit more as the debate will be settled knowing he is going.

I heard today that Ancelotti is making Sanchez his number 1 target for Bayern in the summer. If I was him I'd take the offer and try to get Ozil to go too. I really only think that players walking out will make a difference. Fans can't and the media can't but players leaving can. Of course there are some that would never do so as they know they wouldn't get in to any other Prem teams or top European clubs (Wally, Gibbs, Wilshere and Ramsey to name just 4).
Still peddling that old myth eh? I wonder what those Scouse fans who drove out Rodgers, drove out Rafa (who won a CL), and drove out not one, but two ruthless Yank owners make of defeatist fans of this elk?

Is it any wonder the whole club is such a mess. I'll repeat Arsenal are no different. If the fans properly go for him, the board will act. So far sadly, the height of our "toxic atmosphere" was three fans at a train station in Stoke, and a few Ruperts booing mildly after Palace after spending 90 minutes sunning themselves in the various empty seats in between tweets.

I also had to laugh at the farcical notion that "players leaving would make a difference"

Vieira to Juve
Henry to Barca (gave up on winning CL with us)
Fabregas to Barca, then back to win the league with Chavs
Nasri to Citeh (proved our fans wrong with 2 titles)
And worse still...

Cole to Chelski (won everything)
RVP handed on plate to ManYoo and wins them the PL

Of course, players walking out really did it before eh? Oh no wait...it's because "Na$ri" is a money grabbing judas. Yeah so is Cesc (took paycut to join Barca)...so was Cole...errrrr yeah RVP too (turned down bigger money at Citeh but let's ignore facts)...

Tell you who defo isn't a money-grabber though. That wrinkly wankstain on £8m a year!

Oh what's that line you used recently again? Aaah yes...

"I still want him to leave with his head held high"

I stand by the statement that fans can't force his exit. At any other club maybe, but not at ours. Our board won't give a toss if every single season ticket holder refused to renew. There are plenty out there that will grab the chance of an ST and it would free up more seats for tourist fans that also spend money at the concession outlets and the club shop. Win-win for the club isn't it. You have to remember that as long as he is achieving what the owner wants i.e. top four football, a remote owner that doesn't have to face the fans at any time will not give a shit what they think.
You're talking about one player leaving in a season. I'm talking about several players leaving at once. Players leaving en mass could do it. If Ozil and Sanchez left this summer with statements about the clubs lack of ambition and a mediocre squad it would be difficult to attract other top players. You'd only need one or two others going to create the problem. That'd force the clubs hand. It may not seal his exit but it would force a different approach in the transfer market. Ultimately that's what fans want. We want to honestly compete and to do so in the modern game you have to spend money for the best players.
At the bit in bold, if we have widespread disillusionment among the fanbase, who will be those fans so eager to grab those season tickets that have been given up?

To digress slightly, I have long maintained that this much vaunted waiting list is nothing but one of the many farce perpetuated by this conniving and manipulative regime.

What abuse, a couple of guys with a banner and 30 guys bitching every day on here?? Abuse is the type of shit Gary Neville endured. Wenger is going to have to be pried out of the club, this everyday whining ain't gonna do it. Football is all he has and I don't see any clubs lining up to employ him... and even if they were no other fans will put up with his shit for longer than a season, at most.

Just seen this on YouTube apologies if already posted - debate that includes DT (Wenger out banner guy), Memz, Claude, and TY (the ultimate AKB that wears the club shop). Must watch for TY being challenged! Just persevere because it's a bit long winded

I highly doubt that - he has the same mentality as the likes of Sepp Blatter and Brazilian President Dilma - it's all someone else's fault and not my problem if the public can't appreciate the amazing work I'm doing for them.

After EVERY game now, Wenger, or one of the players comes out & says we need to forget this game & focus now, forget about the other teams and win our remaining games. Then after the "next" game when more points are dropped we need to forget this game and......... And after every subsequent game we drop more points. What an absolute circus this has become. I would love us to finish 7th. I certainly don't want to swop CL for Europa.

Agree and this baffles me because I feel it has been like this for years now after every lost game and after every bottle job. It's like the glory days were just yesterday and not fucking a decade ago and like there's no history in between at all.

These three bits from the BBC Footie Rumours page say it all:

"Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, 27, has been urged to join Bayern Munich - by his Chile team-mate Arturo Vidal. (Metro)

....................

The Gunners have postponed contract talks with Sanchez and midfielder Mesut Ozil, 27, until the end of the season. Both players need convincing the team will be able to compete for honours. (Times)

.....................

Arsenal's players and staff are "baffled" by some of manager Arsene Wenger's decisions, including giving the squad the day off after their draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday with just a four-day turnaround before they play West Brom. (Telegraph)

......................

So not only are we baffled (along with the world and his dog) but so are the players! Now there's surprise.

Good to see Arsene's loyal devoted lieutenants are still desperate to see the arse hole who "built the club" leave with his dignity intact. Ignore all the other stuff
