it's moments likes this you hoped we were 16th with wenger well under it, needing to pick up points to stay up. fucking hell
This is someone who has wanted Wenker out for about 3 years!
Our fans are an embarrassment. Just you watch the goldfish brain come summer.
"We are two to three players away"
"This summer is make or break"
"Arsene will not want to go out tamely so he's gonna spend BIG"
Then after signing one average striker from Ligue 1 (still hope for Kalou!) then the braindead kind of fans who claimed we'd "improved" for signing just Cech will be out en masse
Alexis will become Dirty $anch€Z for joining Bayern
M€$ut O€z¥L will be called an overrated jack who will flop at Barca and besides, it'll help Rene-Adelaide and co flourish
Absolutely fucking joke.
If you want a demonstration of proper fans with bollocks, then have a look at the reception Everton fans have planned for Bobby Martinez come Saturday should he dare lose. They'll hound their mini-me Wenker out. No question.
Shameful fans we have. Clash said it earlier, the fact this has been allowed to continue for 12 years before anything was done says it all.
Congrats to the Banner boys though Quality show.

The tourists who are part of that virtual waiting list of 40,000? With such high demand to see our "Crapacticos", errrrrm....where were all them tourists just gagging to watch 90 minutes of paint dry? Stuck in Heathrow still? Problems on the Piccadilly line?silus wrote:Not having a go to you but...on one hand you advocate not going..on the other you say he should get hounded out. How do you do that if you don't attend? If that's the extent of all them tourists desperate to watch us well...I think it's safe to say not paying to go is absolutely the correct decision. My point is:
If you pay to go, then banner and vitriol is good
If you don't pay them a penny, this is also effective (best option for me).
If you pay to go though and sit mute then you're part of the problem. Full stop. I told my mate as much after the game. He'd part of it.
Like I said. Tonight really makes a mockery of the jokers who justify going by claiming
"Someone else will simply take my place"
What like the Invisible Man?

Re: WBA HOME GAME
Silus - I couldn't agree more.
I am totally deflated after going to that crap tonight.
There are barely any proper Arsenal supporters left to be honest.
Those that remain are more than happy with a top 4 finish. In fact you know I am not sure a lot of people there tonight are bothered about where we are in the league and so what if Spurs win it.
It is all about the "experience"
I also think Wenger and Kroenke will be delighted that so many season ticket holders boycotted the match- the queues for the food and drink looked bigger than ever!
The make up of the crowd tonight was a glimpse into the near future at Arsenal and it is very depressing.

Re: WBA HOME GAME
You could look at it as there was 45k plus on a Thursday night, against shit opposition in a meaningless game that's on tv (first person to call me wenger wins)
I see the argument of not going...but we will be replaced. The waiting list is real..I'm about 14k on it and have rang up every year to try and blag one without any luck.
My initial question was...how do you hound him out if you're not there? It's easy to sit at home and blame everyone else....but what has that achieved?
I agree with you that we should have done something years ago... but what's the solution now?

A half empty stadum thats the image that was shown around the world.Well done to those ST holders who didnt turn up.Empty seats will bring about change

Not trying to argue with you ike...you often make sense...but I think we gave up to easily and now it's too late.
I'm fucking depressed.

Mate. You make sense but enough already with the waiting list. It's a myth peddled by the club. Here's some examples: I work with someone who is 18k sthg on the "list". In the past 2 years he's been offered several chances to take one up. Nosilus wrote:You could look at it as there was 45k plus on a Thursday night, against shit opposition in a meaningless game that's on tv (first person to call me wenger wins)

Interest. Same goes for my Godson, number 12k on the list. He's been offered it so many times and won't take it. Numbers on a list is good but I'll repeat what I said before:
Arsenal are shit. The football is boring. The players are pathetic bar 2/3: Giroud, Wally, Ramsey etc...so much shite.
If you assume the ones replacing you are tourists then right now in London there is currently a team superior to us down trees road. Next year Chelski will return. West Ham play superior football.
It's delusion of the highest order to think Arsenal are so big and revered tourists are just desperate to jump in. It's bollocks. Next season offer tourists the choice between Spuds in the CL who play good footeh and challenged, Chelski who will sign top players...and Groundhog FC?
Please. That waiting list can be 1 million for all I care but based on what my eyes show me, the stadium hardly fills up anymore

The solution is simple. Don't go. The ground will not fill up. This will be highlighted. See Wenker's tetchy response tonight to being asked about empty seats? If there's a 20k shortfall in seats per game - and there will be - the game is up. If tickets are going on General sale and the ground is still a quarter empty? That's a financial penalty.
It's ridiculous and deluded for anyone to suggest we are so big tourists are just lining up to snap up tickets. Maybe in 2004 they were. We ain't bloody Barca or Bayern.
FFS we ain't even Leicester or worse, SPUDS

Re: WBA HOME GAME
Tbh I'm not sure what I'd describe tonight's support as...maybe jcls. They don't seem to notice/care how shit things are. I'd probably have more respect for them if they were akbs, turned up and supported the team...but they just seem indifferent. It's bizarre.Ikechukwu1 wrote:Mate. I'm just frustrated. I thought tonight was a good opportunity for us to make our feelings known...but nobody seemed to give a shit.
We'll agree to disagree on the list. I can only go on my experience...I've been on it for 5yrs, started around 35k...now on 14k. Every year I ring up and say that I know people who joined after me have been offered tickets but they still say I have to wait. Maybe I'm just unlucky.
Re: WBA HOME GAME
Exactly how I feel. As I said before I've been renting a season ticket for 5yrs...but am not going to next season. I've often said I won't be forced out and will only stop when I no longer enjoy it...that time has come and I'm I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a little bit heart broken about it. Something that has been a major part of my life for over 35yrs looks like it's coming to an end. I've never felt so disconnected from the club....and the sad thing is...they won't give a shit, or even notice I've gone.Gunner Rob wrote:Silus - I couldn't agree more.

Re: WBA HOME GAME
Shame the walk out and emptying of the stadium didnt happen. But the message got through. Wenger, Gazidis, Kroenke ect can no longer ignore the fans sentiment.
Its also highly embarrassing for Wenger. When your own fans dont turn up as a protest against you - how much more poor for a manager can it get?
He looked really humbled and frail in his post match.

Re: WBA HOME GAME
That's the way to do it. Fair play to those who stayed away, I called it all wrong.
Parts of the Upper Tier looked no more than half full, possibly a record low attendance? We'll never know. Partly attributed to a Thursday night though BUT anyone who still thinks the anti-Wenger movement isn't working needs to really think twice. One more year to ride out the contract (he's not walking away from that money) but almost no chance of a new deal. It will be spun as a "mutual agreement".

My missis noticed I got up and made myself a cup of tea right on 75 min. I told her it was a protest. She still don't get it.

However, the masses of empty seats are a big statement. Never for a Premier League game has there been such disinterest from the fans. I am sure this will not go un-noticed. How can it, as it does not look good for the club to have such an empty ground.
Whatever spin they try to put on it, people aren't stupid. Everyone knows why we didn't turn up last night.

And I believe there will still be a large number of empty seats for the last 2 home games as well. This is what the Gazidis and Co will see and with the Norwich game again shown live, so will everyone else. That is really not good for the club to be seen with a ground that is showing so many empty seats.

Re: WBA HOME GAME
I didn't actually think there were too many empty seats last night.
all the photos you see this morning were taken at kick off time, our fans are notoriously late in getting into the ground and last night there were severe delays on the Piccadilly line.
