THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I hope protests continue for the rest of the season, regardless. Keep the pressure up, lads. If that intransigent old cunnt stays, in the face of growing protests from us 'peasants', he deserves all the abuse he can get and more. HOUND THE FUCKER OUT!

Crowing over at the Lane that Potch will get half mill bonus if they win the league. Pffft, what a little club they are, we give our manager 8mill just for getting 4th :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Watching the Mancs Everton semi.
Van spud head sees his young full back having a torrid time and give a penalty away...so he makes a tactical change and subs him....what a novel idea :rubchin:

If he signs a new contract, then the gloves are off. He will need to really exceed himself and win the league or CL, or he going to have to accept waves of abuse. And it its the later that happens (which it will), then he shouldnt complain.

Every year he stays, his record grows worse. 10 years ago 3 league title in 10 years was pretty good, not great, but good. But 3 league titles in 20 years is starting to look really ordinary.

It certainly is a new idea..I thought that your substitutions (barring injuries) had to be decided before the kick off.. For example Walcott for Iwobi on 70 minutes.. Then if Iwobi is playing really well the customers might get restless as he is replaced but the decision was made pre game and cannot be changed.
The injuries one is interesting as sometimes you can play a player with an injury safe in the knowledge that you are taking him off on 70 minutes anyway..The projected injury absence is announced and then to get an accurate reading it can be doubled or trebled.. This is called a "leetle setback"

"It's very simple. We all feel guilty and we are all looked at like it's a shame we are not winning the league because Leicester are at the top," Wenger told Sky Sports. WANKER YOU ARE CULPABLE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND RESIGN

Mourinho comments on Wenger....

“In this country only one manager is not under pressure,” Mourinho added. “Every other manager is. I am under pressure, Steve is under pressure, Pellegrini is under pressure, Brendan [Rodgers] too.

"We cannot be below par. We have to meet the objectives. I have sympathy with all of them because it’s a difficult job. There’s one outside that list but good for him.

TOTALLY UNACCOUNTABLE...HE DECIDES WHEN HE GOES....

In fairness they really have come good & taken pretty much all of us by surprise. They have a few standouts but individually they are not greats, BUT they all put a shift in and play for each other. Compare some of their grafters & runners to the likes of Ramsey, Giroud, Gabriel...... Ranieri surely has to get a lot of credit. And on the flip side Wenger has to take a lot of the blame, he doesn't though, does he??

Just read the interview (didn't watch it as I can't bear his droning voice). It is just excuse after excuse after excuse. He's turned into a parody of himself.

£8million a year to make excuses - what a great job he's got.

And not only that but the "customers" incessant whining will then cost Iwobi his chance of starting the next game as it will then look like the fans had a point and that Wenger was wrong, that Iwobi is and was the best man for the job. I'm not kidding either, it happened to Campbell... Wenger would rather lose than admit to being wrong. It is sooo infuriating, I am actually clenching my teeth typing this. The club, OUR club, has become his, to do with as he pleases.

TOF's insane and self-imposed 'rules' and dogmatic approach to football has cursed him at this club. He's become the ultimate ball and chain, glass ceiling repairman and handbrake user :banghead:

Yeah! Even Cameron doesn't get that much and all he does is make excuses. - Wenger IS a politicain within a money & media driven sports business.
