SUNDERLAND AWAY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm still baffled that he started with them both.

There our season summed up in 45 minutes, chronic lack of ideas and interest, 4 more years folks

Total dominance but 100% as expected with the Lamppost playing straight into the hands of two centre backs with a turning circle of the QE2. We await Welwide and Wally's introduction after 70 minutes

Wenger hook his love children
Over-indulged and under-performing favourites restored to the team and we look much the worse for it.

The commentators of the last few weeks, mostly, have been saying that. 'A typical performance from Arsenal, all the possession, some good football, but no cutting edge in front of goal.' I agree with that except for the 'good football' bit because mostly it's just tippy tappy boring.

That was fucking shit. Against a team fighting relegation, isn't it always best to try and hit them hard early on, set a high tempo and put pressure on? Just checking because not having worked a day in football, I was wondering whether it's a better idea to play at walking pace, never shoot and give them all the time in the world to get back and pack their own box?

Do you think our midfield ever look at Giroud and think 'i might as well pass it to their defender to save Olly the embarrassment'
