We are very close to signing....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ben Arfa will need physically strengthening for a year before we see the best of him.

He will show what he has go season after next.

So what do we do in the meantime? Continue with Diaby wide left and Eboue wide right:? If so, we'll be here this time next season bemoaning what might have been.

In the meantime it is Traore, Walcott, Gibbs, and possibly a fit Rosicky on the wings..and maybe Eboue too...and maybe Hleb..and maybe Vela

Lots of improbable factors there

Let us see how it pans out

Maybe this, maybe that!! In other words, apart from Walcott, who himself isn't exactly worldly wise, we'll be relying on more inexperienced and unproven youngsters and some rarely fit or not good enough players?

SIGN HIM UP! even if he's still a raw talent, under wenger he'll definately be a better option than bloody eboue and diaby are!

Has anyone else seen Arsene Wenger's comments today when talking about the Hleb/Flamini situation? Regarding Flamini, Wenger said that they offered Flamini the highest amount they could within the wage structure, but it was not enough. Next, Wenger denied that Hleb was leaving, saying that there was nothing to talk about. Well, we've heard that before.

Even more worrying, is that Wenger said that he felt there was no need to bring in another player to replace Flamini, saying that the club had Song, Dyaby and Denilson to fill the midfield roles. If Wenger really believes that we don't need to strengthen the midfield, never mind the defence and the strikers, then we are in serious trouble. I think the time for bringing in unfinished players is past - we need some experience to provide backbone for the team. [/quote]
