Imagine being promised that you are joining a club with serious ambition, then get stuck with Mertesacker and Flamini and you're only outfield signing in a year was an Egyptian from the Swiss league who can't even get in the matchday squad.
Absolutely. A player that's won the WC, and is used to competing to win the CL at Madrid turns up to Lord Fuckstick's pet project and is surrounded by dross. Honestly imagine how dispiriting it must be to get tanked in Munich like that? Imagine how much worse it's going to be when Barca turn up in CL? Imagine having gone from feeding Benzema and Ronaldo to watching shite like Wally and Giroud? Do you honestly think a WC winner (a proper one unlike Mertesacker) gives a shit about beating Villa in the FA Cup? Please.
A player of his class and at his age wants to be a ballon d'Or winner that's what they care about
. That's why it makes me laugh to hear Wenker say "now with our financial might we don't have to sell any players"
No dickhead. Your piss-poor management and lack of ambition will always drive top talent away! Ozil leaving will only mean Sanchez following. But it's ok because Flamini and Joel Campbell and Wally and Giroud will all stay "loyal"

So right. He must despair seeing Theo and OG.

Read a stat regarding the last few games. Apparently he has created 16 chances with none taken.

Mesut deserves to play with better players than that. Theo, especially, is an embarrassment.

The king of the flat track bullies - Arsenal's very own Graeme Hick. If he wants to f**** off then go and do one this Summer. I won't miss any of those shitey performances when it really matters - he was fucking pathetic against the Chavs

I think he's implying that Bild has much truth as the crap printed in The Sun and other tabloids. The sources aren't very reliable.

Ah right. Just passing the info along. I always thought Bild were more reputable out of the tabloids.

How would he fit into Bacelona's 4-3-3 and high pressing game?

Barcelona play three natural forwards and thus the three midfielders need to work hard for each other. Busquets is the holding player. Rakitic the box to box player, with Iniesta the play maker. So it Ozil did move, it would be for Iniesta's place in the team which seems far fetched. Iniesta further runs his heart out when not in possession. Barcelona also have the 7 second rule, where once they lose the ball, everyone runs like mad for 7 seconds to win it back, and if not they fold back into a defensive formation.

I reckon its rubbish. Although if its true, then the club need to get a proper transfer fee in the realm of 60m.

As when we do well, its too cheaply.

Although, Marca and Sports are horrible sources. I only listen to the BBC and Sky - so if not reported by these outlets, then its highl likely its been made up by some blogger trying to generate traffic.

After all, the club have released a statement saying Ozil hasnt even been formally offered a contract, so how can he reject a contract not put forward to him??????????

An article on the themailonline by Adrian Durham calls for arsenal to cash in on Ozil as he is not suited for Premier League football.
Totally disagree with this, he is one of five first team players we should keep. He has created 136 chances in the league alone, significantly more than Mahrez. If anything he's shown he's maybe too good for the Premier League by creating that many chances. Had we had a striker that could score goals, Ozil would be player of the year, and we would be 10 points clear of Leicester.
The key is to get a striker that compliments Ozil and Sanchez...I hear Neymar is up for sale....(yes, I know, if only...) :banghead: :banghead:

Sadly for Ozil, he is playing in the wrong team. This bloke would of been immense in our invincible days. Just imagine him playing with Bergkamp, Henry and Pires. Henry would of got 40 goals + a season with this bloke in the team.

Sadly he has Giroud, Walcott and Welbeck to play with.

Agree 100%.

One could find fault in his demeanour, attitude or work rate but he is up there with the best in terms of picking a pass. It’s not his fault the fare he serves up is spooned into row Z by Walcott, Giroud, Ramsey and Welbeck.

It’s like the world’s finest mechanic being asked to mastermind the winning of Le Mans with a fucking jalopy.

Can't understand the abuse Ozil gets on here at times, he has created a ridiculous amount of chances this year and with a good striker in front of him this wouldn't even be a debate, he'd have smashed TH's assists records when our strikers were scoring at the start of the season. If you look at his stats he's barely dropped off in the second half of the season but all our attackers have which has had what looks to be a detrimental effect on his play.

Yes he doesn't track back or get stuck in all the time but if we didn't have such a hopeless defence and weren't so bad at tracking back he wouldn't need to, his job is to be the outlet when we recover the ball and are going forward and distribute the ball to the best of his ability, i don't actually want my play-maker in a defensive position because he can't create anything from there.

He creates, we don't convert that's not his fault

It does appear that he has 'disappeared' along with our title challenge since January, when it's the total lack of goals from strikers/midfielders. He's still not broken the assist record has he? That's totally stalled too.

I do wish that Ozil would take more opportunities in front of goal himself though. He does get a bit too 'sideways Arsenal' and passes when he should shoot :banghead:

Still, he should easily help us win the 'Expected Goals' VT :barscarf:

Would anybody blame him for leaving?

He'd be a lunatic to stay. Remember that he came with a reputation as one of Europe's top players and players and fans alike at Madrid were apoplectic at his sale.

Now he has been plodding around for a few years in a team nowhere near winning an ever-weakening PL and who can't get past the last 16 in Europe, and despite being a cut above the rest he is obviously a shadow of his former self.

It would be absolutely criminal if he spent another year here under Wenger - surely thre guy has some ambition?
