THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
the fact that wenker has now turned on those at the emirates who are or have been 75% his supporters all along goes to show how out of touch he really is with how unpopular he is,i mean outside the emirates its a 75% WOB situation,i cant wait till the Norwich game,i hope he gets all the abuse he deserves, come on everybody lets flush this stinking turd out

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
No doubt in his own mind we are champions away (even though as mentioned, we are actually 3rd away from home). He seems to get an idea in his head, and clings onto it against all conventional wisdom. Even claims that can be busted based on the fact they are factually inaccurate.

yes this is the point - most of those in the ground are still (sadly) AKBs!!markyp wrote:the fact that wenker has now turned on those at the emirates who are or have been 75% his supporters all along goes to show how out of touch he really is with how unpopular he is,i mean outside the emirates its a 75% WOB situation,i cant wait till the Norwich game,i hope he gets all the abuse he deserves, come on everybody lets flush this stinking turd out
when Wenger talks about "difficult climate" it is all his fault anyway.
I was at the Swansea home game, fans got behind the team, we were even winning.
then for some insane reason Wenger TOOK OFF our best player on the night - Joel Campbell. Then it went toxic in the ground.
but the fans turned because of the decision Wenger took!

The very same supporters who hounded out Hodgson & Rogers & even turned against legend King Kenny, the same fans who fought back against massive ticket price increases, the same fans who protested against the Hicks & Gillette ownership?xisstential wrote:Wenger has urged supporters of his team to take Liverpool fans' lead in gaining a sense of perspective amid growing discontent at a trophyless season
Seriously, a sense of perspective?? He needs to stop digging, he is creating a hole he can never climb out of.
I just wish our fans were as radical

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The only way that toxic environment can be flushed, is for Wenger to leave.
He enjoyed 10 years of unconditional support, now he needs to appreciate tolerance has ran its course, and if he cant satisfy the appetite for success, he cant in good faith continue as the 3rd highest paid manager in Europe. Its getting really obvious he is staying for his own reasons, and not in the best interest of the club.
Ive said it before, he deserves every bit of stick and abuse that comes his way. He sat on his ass for years allowing the malaise to manifest, even though it was OBVIOUS to so many, that changes were needed to avoid repetitive failure.
There are times when I feel sorry for him, watching his eyes bulge on the touchline, clearly distressed at proceedings on the pitch, yet has no idea whats going on, or how to fix it - I ifeel sorry for him, like you feel sorry for a once great man who has been crippled by old age and can no longer take a shit without help.
But then he goes and basically assigns blame to the fans for this years short comings, and it just reinforces what a spiteful, vile, egotistical, narcissistic individual he is.
He will never change, and I firmly believe he would actively sabotage the inevitable transition process, because he couldnt stomach the idea of Arsenal improving and succeeding in his immediate aftermath. He would sell Ozil and Sanchez, or do something meaningful to make life harder for the next manager. He is a vile cancer who needs to be cut loose and the door closed on him. Some former players suggest Wenger 'move up stairs'. Fuk off, he needs to go all together, and we need to kill his 'philosophy' and root out the players who owe Wenger their Arsenal careers (Walcott, Giroud, Ramsey, Arteta, Flamini). Getting rid of Wenger is one thing, but it will take maybe 2-3 years to engineer institutional change to kill all traces of Arsene Wenger.

glad to see Charlie Nicholas saying he should go, but I'm sick of ex players, and the media in general saying "he deserves the right to leave with dignity", or he deserves more respect". In their minds, the fans opinions doesn't matter, so Wenger can throw whatever nasty shit our way, and we should accept it. Yet in contrast, any anti Wenger comments by the fans is apparently 'disrespectful'. Respect is a two way street, and Wenger's behaviour has meant, I have zero respect left for him.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
More bullshit.... trying to scare people now.... basically saying if you turn on us the club will never recover. What he's trying to do now is lump himself and the players together in a kind of insane "us against them" last stand. Everybody who questions "them" has less character than them. He's got the "come up very slowly" bit spot on though.Shameless!!
Despite his team's decline in recent months, the Frenchman insisted that his squad's focus has been 'impeccable' all term.
He said: 'This team has character and attitude. Some people question them. I know them well, and they have less character than this team have. I saw them play and I know them very closely, and they shouldn't question this team's character.
'But when a club cannot enjoy anything any more, it's in trouble. In football you go down very quickly and come up very slowly. We have to stick together.

What the *word censored* is failing to realise is that he's breaking the number one rule of English football; never ever criticise your own fans.
If he's so concerned about a hostile atmosphere, he should have done something to excite the fans- perhaps buy a striker, drop Giroud, get out of his seat, learn some tactics, be less of a consecending, egotistical *word censored*.

Thats utter bollocks. If you take out the corporates who imo don't count as true Arsenal fans out of the remaining fans more than 70% want wenger out. All my mates who have season tickets are sick to the back teeth of Wenger and want him to go.markyp wrote:the fact that wenker has now turned on those at the emirates who are or have been 75% his supporters all along goes to show how out of touch he really is with how unpopular he is,i mean outside the emirates its a 75% WOB situation,i cant wait till the Norwich game,i hope he gets all the abuse he deserves, come on everybody lets flush this stinking turd out
When Joel Campbell was substituted the other month to boo's from round the ground the fans sang "you dont know what you're doing". Who do you think they where directing this song at ffs!

Amen. He has crossed the Rubicon with his remarks. He takes home £8 million a year to fail and has the fucking cheek to blame the lifelong fans (some are, anway) that pay their hard earned to go to games. The absolute gall of the man.Perryashburtongroves wrote:What the *word censored* is failing to realise is that he's breaking the number one rule of English football; never ever criticise your own fans.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
cant agree im afraid,if that many inside the emirates wanted him gone the atmosphere would be so hostile that it would be impossible to carry on,the odd tutt or rant of 'you don't know what youre doing 'doesn't mean the emirates crowd want him gone, those tossers will tolerate anything from him, showing mild displeasure once in a while is par for the course at any football ground, hopefully now the tide will trun and it will be at least 50% WOB inside the groundnut flush gooner wrote:Thats utter bollocks.
