Protest Saturday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Now they have taken my TimeForChange message, weakened and diluted it and destroyed all the good work weve been doing for years.

Never in a million years should they have done anything until 90mins when all the tourists have left and all the publicity is on us.

Thats why I refused to get involved. Fukin stupid, stupid c unts

I congratulate you for your effort and I'm deeply saddened to hear what you have started has been shamed today.

"Fan groups" ... Give me a fucking break.

From the Guardian's minute-by-minute:

12 min We’re in the 12th minute and, er, nothing’s happening. All you can hear is “Arsenal we love you.” A few losers are holding up a ‘Time for Change’ leaflet. That’s possibly the most pathetic protest in the history of mankind.

The fans in the ground are still AKB's in the majority :banghead:

Fans like myself have voted with their feet the club is a reflection of the manger stale. Many friends Arsenal fans with similar views have also decided to stop going.

The only manager in football that decides to go when he wants on his terms.....at 8m a year not anytime soon sadly.

Armchair you have my utmost respect for everything you have tried to do for the fans of this great club but after todays showing i think you are psising in the wind mate.

As soon as i saw BSM and RA get on board i knew it would dilute your message as all it did was serve notice to those pro-Wenger supporters that a large protest was potentially going to happen and allow them to organise a counter protest as seen by the TO1AW chants :banghead:

You were much better off with the attention being garnered by a small group of you protesting as it was a much clearer message, i genuinely wouldn't be surprised if a large part of the people there today only went to a dead rubber of a game to give support to their messiah :cussing:

More pertinent than the protest, did you count the empty seats? that says more of how fans see that this fraudulent so called manager has stagnated the club. Hope he does the honourable thing and leaves after the Villa game, 4th spot? I could not give a shit, qualifying for a tournament we have no ambition to win, and another £30mil that will stay unspent.
Nothing but Stans puppet, achieving minimum requirement, spending minimum funds.
But still charging top dollar to watch,

I have booked a seat for the Villa game on the 15th,North Bank Lower,Block 7. As I said on previous posts,pm me if I can help with banners etc,or let me know what pubs the "time for a Change" etc placards will be being handed out. I usually frequent The Auld Triangle,The Blackstock, or The Arsenal Tavern. :barscarf:

The protest was a flop, as I expected it would be.

But I believe there are a good deal of people who are sick with Wenger who didn't hold up signs today. The problem is that this protest was organised entirely through social media and with the age demographics at the bowl, I reckon a good 50% of those in there don't use social media at all so would have been unaware of it until today. Then you've got plenty who are too old or apathetic and simply past caring, cant be arsed to print off signs and wave them around.

But wasn't the fare on the pitch fitting, it perfectly matched the placards. Completely stale and turgid.

I do actually worry that today may have done more harm than good :( Go and check out John Cross's Twitter if you can stomach it, tongue firmly inserted up AW's arse.

It's not a surprise that AKBs infest Cashburton. It goes to show that pricing out working class fans changed the demographics of match-goers and also meant that TOF would always have a hardcore support from Tarquins and tourists.

I still hope the banners are brought to every game. Apathy has already ruined the club and the atmosphere in the ground, let's not let it ruin the protests too.

Two more dead rubber games to go. If there's even a 5% chance we can stop the contract extension, it's worth fighting for.

I honestly think that ship sailed ages ago but still worth protesting just for the sake of it :barscarf:

the emirates is a breeding ground to the spineless, 1AW singing thundercunts. not a peep out of the fans until the anti wenger placards were shown, then they burst into life.

honestly feeling so disconnected from our support base at the moment, so many gooners that don't go to the bowl and watch in the pubs, those that do try to get noise going get abuse at the emirates for protesting....

we honestly deserve the placid, droning shit support we get at home, it's what the club has bred at the club. we deserve to bottle the league every year, then give wenger a new contract worth millions every season just to hear the same shit excuses. at this rate i'm going to barnet next season just to get away from it and forget about this shite
