Oh, and unsuccessful, that's our Arsene.
And throwing water bottles. Don't forget that. Arsene doesn't get near enough credit for his water bottle throwing accuracy.

This boards self-appointed "devils advocate" can attempt to pour cold water or discredit that all he wants but thats what happens at other clubs and thats what will happen at Arsenal.
The fact that RA and BSM have jumped on the bandwagon and set us back is unfortunate but does not change anything. Their stupid, pathetic attempt will soon be forgotton and the real, honest protesters can get on with it unhindered by publicity seekers and #flipfloppers.
That's a good one!

Can you not see that by marginalizing your group you just make the protest smaller and even less effective than it already is?
The peoples state of Kroenke didn't give a fuck when there were many protestors. They'll give even less of one when you only include the 'real honest protestors'.

Arsenal isn't 'other clubs' and the same methods won't work here. Our owner doesn't give a fuck what we think and knows that we cannot really hurt 'the brand'. The media coverage of the weekends protest was brief and almost jocular. Of course, when change does eventually come you'll all claim to be responsible for forcing it but the reality is that you've got Wenger next season whether you like it or not and there's nothing you can do about it! If he goes at the end of that season it'll be because he has seen out his contract, as he always does, and has decided to leave. It will not be because we don't like him anymore!

there is one thing that could work from a fans perspective. If the team walked out on the pitch to a stadium containing 3000 away fans and nobody else that might have some impact. Do you think that is going to happen?
Spud masher you got to the real issues mate, its all true and I'm totally gutted by it
I'm pretty gutted about it too! I'm afraid its just a waiting game. :(

as much as I want Wenger gone I don't understand why he should suddenly do so badly next season.

Yes Wenger is a specialist in failure but he is also a specialist in the top 4 finish.
every summer on here you get people saying we can win the league - which I always think is ridiculous and every summer you get people saying that top 4 is impossible - which I also think is ridiculous!

there will always be clubs that don't do so well - hands up who really thought that Chelsea would have a meltdown this season?

next season I would expect that City under Pep, Chelsea with no CL distractions and Spurs with sadly a still improving team will finish in the top 4.
We will be competing with possibly Van Gaal again at United, Leicester with CL distractions, West Ham getting used to a new stadium and possibly our biggest danger Klopp's Liverpool. It really won't be that difficult for the old fraud to get us back in the top 4 again. The agony continues...

That's the issue, some fans think we should be aiming higher than just in the top 4, others are happy to accept it.

Now I don't give a shit about spot 4 in our current situation as it is a sign of our inertia, but I think next year could be a whole lot harder. Other clubs will be looking at what took place in Leicester, and will be loaded financially, able to go out and reinforce heavily from some of the best clubs in Europe. We have seen West Ham playing very well, Southampton and Everton should definitely also improve. With a squad like ours which most likely will not be properly reinforced we could face much improved sides, we are already struggling against minor teams because of our manager's spaced out "tactical setups"..

what I am hoping might catch Wenger out next season is who on earth can he sign?
I mean if you are a top player why would you come to play at Arsenal ???

the only thing going for it is the fact it is in London, but surely we now won't attract anyone with ambition.
of course Wenger never targets those players anyway...

I disagree.... this season has been a shocker, just look back at some of the results. Against the lesser, not the bigger teams. We lose to City on Sun & we are pretty much going to scrape in by default.... in other words more because of others failures than our actual "success". Liverpool have got better, so have Man.u.... we have got worse, Wenger, if possible, has got worse. There are half a dozen managers from the smaller clubs who know how to set their stall out against Wenger, then we have City, Chelsea, spurs, Pool, Utd...... I think we'll struggle for top 4 next season .

Plus EVERYBODY is telling him to strengthen so he'll dig his heels in on that front and who knows Sanchez & Ozil might even leave?? I hope he finishes with a DISASTROUS season, at least then people won't want him involved in appointing the new manager.

Exactly. The only ones to accept mediocrity at Arsenal are the fans. Now when are those ST renewals out again?? Maybe I'll just stroll round Ivan's and personally hand him the cash while giving him a rim job

I know spuddy.......you just stay behind your laptop with your aloof, iii-informed criticising and pouring cold water on our protests. And keep on wanting Wenger to see out his contract "with his head held high" lol.
If you dont want him gone then you want him to stay.
Those of us who care enough will keep on trying to force change the only way we can. In the real world, where it actually matters.
Th numbers of protesters is irrelevent. Its all to do with how the protests are executed, perception and the coverage it gets. So your pathetic criticism that "smaller is less effective" is just, well, fukin stupid really.

And yes if Wenger does not renew we will take some credit for influencing his decision. Thats the whole point of our protests. To ensure he does not renew.

So keep on throwing stones from afar mate. I'll keep doing what I have to do. Cause if I sat back, accepted it and did nothing I wouldnt be able to look myself in the mirror.

You carry on wasting your time mate. I'll come and visit you in the stroke unit once its all got too much for you! My protest will continue to be the same as it has been for two seasons now. I simply won't part with any money to go to that stadium until he has gone.

I want him gone and I'd like it to happen before the next game ideally but I'm also wise enough to know that it isn't happening. Time will show you that he'll have his own way and there are three very good reasons why:-

1. Wenger doesn't give a fuck what you or anyone else thinks.
2. Kroenke doesn't give a fuck what you or anyone else thinks.
3. You'll still give them your money which is what they do give a fuck about.

Glad to see that you're still supporting the regime and also glad to see that you've acknowledged that it will be his decision (in bold above in case you missed it ;-))

Did Wenger introduce the touchline bust up with opposing managers to the Premier League?
He's fought with Fergie, Mourinho, Pardew, Jol, Dalgliesh, Moyes, Allardyce, to name a few. I can't ever recall managers doing it before...Revie and Clough argued but never on a touchline, can't recall Graham kicking off with Ferguson, or anyone else.
Clough slapped and punched fans who invaded the pitch but never opposing managers.
