That's a question many of us have considered for many a season - but especially of late - a question we are not allowed to voice on here.

What question is that? - I think I've missed somethingOneBardGooner wrote:That's a question many of us have considered for many a season - but especially of late - a question we are not allowed to voice on here.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Louis van Gaal lifted the FA Cup at Wembley, but it will not stop Manchester United appointing Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
The Dutchman is set to meet Old Trafford executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and a number of Glazer family members on Sunday for talks to confirm that he is being replaced this summer by the former Chelsea boss.
Van Gaal had hoped that he would have been given the opportunity to work the final season of his three-year contract if he lifted the FA Cup .
But that summit will confirm his departure a year early from Old Trafford. Woodward's determination not sack his second manager in three seasons has been undone by United's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
And even though Jesse Lingard's goal gave United their first win in the tournament since 2004, the Glazers had become increasingly concerned that they would face a fans' revolt if they failed to wield the axe.
But if we do it we're selfish, greedy, disrespectful............... and we didn't "lift" anything

Yeah, as soon as I heard that on the news last night - I thought the exact same thing - Their manager wins the FA Cup they still sack him - Like the chavs did when their manager Di Matteo won the CL and they still sacked him.... Whereas our's wins fuckall for 10 years and he's offered a new contract with an increased salary.xisstential wrote:Louis van Gaal lifted the FA Cup at Wembley, but it will not stop Manchester United appointing Jose Mourinho as their new manager.

There must be a happy medium between announcing that you are sacking your manager two hours after he has won the FA Cup and allowing a serial failure to carry on as long as he feels like it after winning 2 trophies (no titles) in the last 11 years.
One is classless, the other is clueless.

The truth is, he seems to have decided to leave the forum and closed his account. It's a shame as he's a poster I respect, but fair enough really.
