As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Only Bayern can better the consistency of finishing in the top 4 over the last 20 years. Look it up and research before you criticise. Both Madrid and Barcelona have finished outside top 4 in at least one season in the last 20 years. Thats all I said quite where you were going with it?
I didn't mention CL.
Mate, you need to stop with this ridiculous bullshit.
Only Bayern can better Wenger finishing top four for 20years?
Barca have won their league 10 fcukin times in that period. Real Madrid 6 times I think.
So finishing top four for 20 years is better than Barca or Reals record? Better than winning it 10 times?
Jesus Christ! What complete load of bollox and just an example of what Wenger lovers will say to make him look better than he is.
Problem is, it just makes the person saying it look so fuckin pathetic.
Since when did 'finishing in the top 4' become the benchmark for success? Who laid the marker down as a top 4 finish as being the barometer for success?
For one, 'finishing in the top 4' is only relevant because it carries a CL place. Finishing in the top 4 becomes pointless if the PL's CL allocations places is cut to three. So really, Wenger's claim to success is qualifying for a competition in which we are humbled in every year.
The Wenger disciples try to elevate Wenger by saying shit like, only Bayern and Real Madrid have matched our participation in the CL. But, Real Madrid and Bayern have won it. So thats all it is really. Wenger's qualifying for the CL is just a glorified participation trophy.
Then we have Wenger: "We have gone out in the last six years to top sides who won the Champions League after. On one occasion we lost to Monaco but the others are always against Bayern Munich or Barcelona." (the other being AC Milan). How is it possible he is allowed to justify 6 losses, in 6 games. There is no need to 'defend' your record, because you havent got one. Yes, in the last 6 years we have played Barcelona twice, Bayern twice, AC Milan and Monaco - and we lost 6 times out of 6. Whats to defend? Literally, no other manager would do worse than losing 6 out of 6. Its literally impossible to do worse. Yet, he is so in denial, that he thinks he has a record to defend.
We have only won 4 CL knock out ties since the final in 2007. Porto, Villareal, Roma and AC Milan. Only Milan were any good.

Think the answer to that question is Arsene Wenger and Stan Krone

And we went out to Barca this year and the media just shrugged it shoulders and said it's no shame as Bara are the best club side in the world. They were then beaten by Atletico, a team that didn't win the trophy. Wenger has a great record in Europe if he puts a Wenger twist on things, but even the Wenger twist doesn't add up if you analyse it properly.
Look at Diego Simeone, calling himself a failure for losing to CL finals: "Losing two finals is a failure,".
Asked if he had thought about resigning after Saturday's defeat, Simeone added: "I am thinking that I have to start thinking. It's a logical question for you to ask after a defeat like the one we've suffered today."We had the chance to become champions, we didn't take that chance. We need to continue working, I have to think things out on my part - that's what I'm doing now. What is clear to me is that nobody remembers the losers. We have to get over this and heal our wounds."
Look at the standards this guy sets for himself. He gets to two CL finals and comes within a minute of winning the first, and loses the second on penalties, with a team no one expects to compete for the CL, yet be beats himself up and calls himself a failure.
Compare this to our dick face manager, who wants credit for getting to the last 16, 6 years in a row, and finishing in the top 4 for 20 years in a row. This is when you realise your Prime Minister is Neville Chamberlain, in a world of Churchill's, Eisenhower's and Roosevelt's.
I dont think the Wenger lovers realise just how much better we would be if we had Simeone. Now he says he is thinking of his future. Why wouldnt this club be moving heaven and earth to make it happen? I think Klopp or Pep would have been ours if we offered them the job, but if course, the Arsenal job wasnt available - as for some reason we choose to hitch our wagon to a old and dying horse. But FFS, surely Simeone cant be allowed to slip through our grasp if he is available?

Surprised DB10 let this one slip through the net. You do realise you're not allowed to mention "death" when refering to Wenger. Oooh nooooo.

Wenger did of course.
But remember Arsene..... 4th place is NOT a trophy.
This just gives me an excuse to post this photo again. (Not that I neef an excuse)............
