No doubt those Barca cnts will be tapping him up to join them
Of course they will. They'll probably tell him to get away while he still can from not turning into another wally - from potential prospect into... well wally.

Drinkwater and Townsend miss out on the Euros. Rooney goes, even though he's largely rubbish, Townsend probably finished the season better than Sterling. Wilshere in the squad. He's not even fit!!!!

We'll be all right if we score lots of goals, if we don't we're doomed.

Hes taking 5 strikers. Drinkwater, Delph and Townsend left behind. Theo would kick himself but he'd probably miss. Surprised Sturridge got ahead of Townsend on current form.
No real surprises apart from Sturridge.
Rashford has hit form at the right time and well done for getting himself into the squad.

Believe me I hate even making this argument and feel dirty for doing so, but shrek has scored 11 international goals in his last 13 appearances and that is no bad stat to have - would you rather depend on an injury prone junkie (allegedly  ), or maybe a kid with less than 6 months premier league experience ? Reality is that engerland don't have the same midfield goalscoring threat since fat frank and stevie me retired, and in a team scarce of proven international goalscoring, rooney will be needed. All that being said, I'm not sure that he should make the starting 11 ahead of vardy and the ex Gooner (he is not one of their own  ).

Sterling and wilshere going ahead of townsend are the big shocks imo, and I would suggest that picking sterling ahead of townsend is a disgrace

Rooney is not renown for scoring goals in major Championship finals. Time will tell if he's a good choice or not.

if i'm right rooney has scored once in a major internationa tournament.

the outrage from ingerland fans over wilshere making the squad is fucking hilarious, he was our best player in qualifiers, got 4 man of the match awards, scored two pearlers against slovenia to keep our 100% record up and people are getting wound up because danny fucking drinkwater didn't get picked :coffeespit:

He's scored once n a WC finals, and at least twice in a Euro because I think he scored in 2004. I' not sure how many others, if any.

Tbh i think it's a bigger travesty that Barkley is there ahead of both Townsend and Drinkwater, he has been shit for months but yet again he is a shoe-in Hodgson player.

Yes Jack has been out for months but lets be honest when he is fit and on form he probably plays even better for Ingurland than for us.

Sterling has been warming the bench for most of the season behind Navas yet Townsend nearly dragged the barcodes single handedly out a relegation battle with some of his performances towards the end of the season..... and as for Drinkwater he has probably been one of the most consistent and under appreciated Foxes players this season, also bearing in mind that Dier is the only real defensive mid in that team surely it would have made sense to take someone else who can fill the spot when/if injuries happen?

Same old England selection process, take the most hyped players no matter what their actual form is like for their club, or lack of

I understand taking Wilshere - the guy is clearly not fit (when is he??) but even with one leg he'd give Henderson a run for his money. England will just hope to patch him up and get him through as many games as they can.

Agree about Barkley - although the hype seems to have died down a bit now. There's a move to Man City and a downward spiral awaiting him.

From an Arsenal perspective, I'm livid about Wilshere going to the Euros. He didn't kick a ball in anger on the pitch until we were out of everything did he? He should have stayed home and got himself fit for next season, you know, work for the people who pay his wages whilst he's on the treatment bench. He's bound to get injured again and be out for 'the start of the season', I'll await with bated breath as to which season that is!

It's certainly possible, but on the other hand they might realise that he's far from the finished article.

Alves was a world class crunt, but he is a very effective player, better in every respect than Hector, and Barca will be much weaker if they swop one for the other.

^ This x 100%.

Woy is taking a calculated punt on Wilshere. He can be inconsistent but of all the Ingerlish midfielders he's the one with a bit of true class that could hurt a European team. Even unfit you could stick him on and he has the potential to deliver something magical and open a defence with a bit of true craft and guile. No guarantee of course, as we have seen both sides of his game, but for Woy it's a decent risk I think.

But he will of course get injured just enough to miss most of next season. Stat.

Rooney is shite at tournaments and similar to Rashford (4 or 5 decent games all season??) he has been picked by the media.
