Foreign managers

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Foreign managers

Post by Nos89 »

Given there will no doubt be a call to restrict number of overseas players quota per team after England get knocked out of the Euros...should there be a cap or quota of overseas managers/ coaches in the PremierLeague to aid the development of English managers/ coaches?
As it stands currently there are other 5 English managers of Premier League clubs.

quotas lead to paying exhorbitant prices for mediocre performers ,it allready happens in the player market !
The EU (which we wont be leaving) Laws allow for freedom of movement so we dont have to hire any English .

English managers by and large are shite , look at our national team ,we have a proven failure in Woy who doesnt have a scoobie what team or what players he will use coming into this championship !

Managers are like players........there are good ones and there are shite ones and nationality shouldn't be the factor. Lets be honest here and admit that (bar eddie howe this season) the most lauded English managers in the premier league are fat sam and pardew and before them it was the tax dodging twitcher..........would you want more of them in the league ?
