So it's done. Settlement reached so we will never know exactly what happened.
One thing though Maureen turned up today 6 days before he was summoned. So it would appear he/chelski have apologised to her and possibly increased the compensation. Clearly carrying on with the tribunal would probably expose Chelsea and Maureen in a bad way. But we already know what a nasty club and nasty piece of work Maureen is.

Yes 1.2 million was an obscene offer, and nows it settled who knows what she got. But that is the business she is in, and money gets thrown around, as we know in the football world. So why not take the fuckers for what she could get, anyone else with half a brain would do the same. But the world is a fucked up place! hurt feelings in a high profile job gets you rich. Getting your legs blown of in afghan serving your country, gets you a life changing injury, Thanks, a shit pension/payout and a life of nothing but grief. That side of it really pisses me off.

Can't really disagree with what you say tbh. But footballers are the worst culprits, we have several players that are on £100k plus a week that quite frankly don't deserve their wages. By the way I was deadly serious about taking on legal expenses cover as an add on to house insurance. It gives you enough cover to take an employer on if you have a valid claim, and it costs less than a Cat A game at the Emirates. So I don't buy all this bullshit about Legal representation only being available to the rich.wilko49er wrote:Yes 1.2 million was an obscene offer, and nows it settled who knows what she got. No doubt more down to earth and an Edinburgh accent on a woman does me every time. Unless they're really fat obviously
When hibs won the cup final it showed a clip of her singing "sunshine on leith" and the way she moved her tongue as she was singing certainly got my juices flowing

Re: Let's all laugh at Chelsea
Knew it would settle but thought that she might put them through the wringer first. Obviously there were some things that Chelsea really did not want to come out and Mourinho was required to rock up today and grovel as part of the settlement. Notwithstanding her considerable salary turning down a 1.2m open offer is astounding considering it has not appeared to have impaired her ability to work or find work - underlines the PR damage to an organisation being taken to a highly-publicised tribunal.
To me you would be taking a huge risk to employ any woman around the dressing room as there will always be plenty of remarks which are made as banter and not out of the ordinary at all, but which sound horrendous repeated in an ET. Basically a walking tribunal case.

Why would you go through the humiliation of a tribunal, if all you was after was a decent payout?????
For me it's as much seeing how much Chelski and Maureen will squirm.
You got that one wrong again....she played them along for every last pound.......you may be politically correct but you have a lot to learn about life

I really wonder what planet you live on at times. Did you see the news footage of her both today and yesterday? She was absolutely cacking herself, unless she was putting it on. Going into an employment tribunal isn't like appearing on Judge Judy it's a serious stressfull process.Redarmy wrote:nut flush gooner wrote:Hold on have any of you guys actually read up on the tribunal? Pretty disrespectful to say she was dragging this out just for the money, Chelsea and Mourinho issued an unreserved apology which basically admitted her claim against them was valid.
If you think about it, by taking a settlement before the tribunal that would admit doubt in the strength of her case. The fact it's gone to tribunal and Chelsea have backed down after some stinging criticism of Eva proves it is not just about money, its principal too. Fair play to her.

You think ??You don't think the fact that mourinho turned up today was a sign that he and they were squirming ? In the last few days there were reports that he wouldn't be turning up at all, and then it changed to the fact that he would be appearing next Monday, but obviously the pressure was on them and forced him to turn up 6 days early to try and settle a deal. Make no mistake she had them bang to rights - she did her job and got absolutely bollocked publicly for doing so, and not one journo or football or medical person came out and defended him amidst the chaos that followed. If he had of abused her (not sexually) behind closed doors then this case would probably have never happened, but having being verbally abused in front of millions of people for doing her job correctly, she really had to take this case as soon as the chavs stood by him
I am disagreeing with the comment that she wanted a day in court and was not concerned about the payout as posted above
Events have proved otherwise

I would love to know what it is that she has got on Chelsea and/or Maureen that made them want to shut down that hearing so quickly!nut flush gooner wrote:So it's done. Settlement reached so we will never know exactly what happened.

she was always going to settle out of court, Chelsea don't want their dirty washing aired in public, this is peanuts to themnut flush gooner wrote:I really wonder what planet you live on at times. Hello Macfly !!!! The tribunal actually started yesterday. It was Chelski and Maureen's actions today that ended proceedings. Do you think if they didn't issue an unreserved apology and disputed her allegations, then the tribunal would have stopped??? It was going to get very messy. Chelsea backed down because they where in the wrong end of.Redarmy wrote:she was always going to settle out of court, Chelsea don't want their dirty washing aired in public, this is peanuts to themnut flush gooner wrote:I really wonder what planet you live on at times.
