Sorry Wilson but remember Higuian ? Remember Benzema ? We were heavily linked with both with no back up option,so we stayed with Giroud and Wally :banghead: .

This policy has cost us so much in latter years and it has driven us barmy on here for a long time - in the last we have paid the likes of bendtner, almunia, denilson etc on wages way beyond their ability and we have found it impossible to offload them then. Even if we drop our asking price to the square root of f.uck all, there are only a few clubs that can match the wages that those players are on with us and none of them are gonna buy our cast offs

Theo should be on about 40/50 pw. Leicester only offered Vardy 60 after all the goals he's scored for them.

Walcott put us to the sword at the perfect time, we were letting players contracts run down, we had already lost RvP, Theo was going through one of those patches where he had raised his game to ok'ish and the fans were screaming not to let him "get away". And now look where we are with him, the only clubs who could afford him won't touch him and the middle to bottom half (where he belongs) cannot afford him.

Another masterstroke by the Professor of Economics.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy's representatives have told Arsenal the striker wants to focus on Euro 2016.

The Gunners have triggered a release clause in the England international's contract, and are believed to have offered him a £120,000-a-week deal.

Premier League champions Leicester are thought to have made Vardy, 29, a counter offer as they try to keep him.

Arsenal, whose bid is reported to be about £20m, were expecting a response from the player on Monday.

He is now in France with England and is said to be fully focused on Euro 201

Tell him to fuck off. If he cannot decide then he doesn't really want to come. Are we now meant to spend the summer running after him, begging him to join us?? Let him go swing, Wenger needs to look elsewhere otherwise this will become another one of our "sagas" dragging on throughout the entire transfer market & finishing with us left empty handed. AGAIN!!.

I'm serious about this. For all the shit we put up with we are still a big club. I'm not saying that Vardy should be falling over himself, but he either wants to come or he doesn't. Wenger doesn't command respect, people jerk him around all the time. Can you imagine Ferguson or even Mourinho in this position. They would tell him in no uncertain terms..... look make up your mind are you in or out, they wouldn't let this one season wonder (so far) Chav dictate to them.

I can just see Wenger chasing him until deadline day, Vardy staying put, Wenger offering up a Gaelic shrug.... Oh well I tried. Fuck that!!

Are you serious?

His finishing and composure in general are woeful. The occasional flick past the keeper shouldn't disguise the miskicks, shanks and row-Z moments.

His poor finishing is compounded by the fact that his poor positioning, lack of effort and cowardliness frequently prevent him even being in a position to try and finish.
