Tbh - I think Ingerland will at least reach the semis. But that's IF their strikers hit the ground running and their defence doesn't implode and if Smalling never gets a game!

It's funny cos football over this side of Europe hant been as shit as this for a long time, but I still expect engerland to easily win their group, wales to finish 2nd and get past first knockout round, and Ireland to finish as one of the best 3rd place teams - Christ international football is shitIn many ones international football is much like the main European leagues - in spain for example, the two madrids and barca are miles ahead of the rest, and in European international football there is a major gulf between the top teams and the rest - if Germany hadn't been hit as hard with injuries as they have been I would have expected them to piss away with this competition, and whilst I still wouldn't rule them out, it is going to be closer imo

Lefty I know that you get a kick out of trying to pick apart my posts and I am cool with that, but do try and correct me on things that I have actually said as opposed to what you want to believe that I am saying -
1. I said Germany would romp this competition if they had a full squad at their disposal and I actually believe that - what I also said is that I still think that they will be there or thereabouts even with those injuries, and at no stage did I reference engerland when I said it.
2. Earlier in this thread I stated that I believe that engerland have one of the best striker talent pool out there - I totally accept that when you look at other countries (Germany have gomez, france have giroud, Italy have pelle etc) the competition for best strikers isn't great, but that don't take away from the fact that engerland have good options up top.
However in the previous post I made a few days ago, I also absolutely slated engerlands defence - any defence with smalling in it is basically shit, and yes they have a much better defence than Ireland has, I still argue that they have the weakest defence of all the major powers out there. History always suggests that defence wins championships and for that reason I don't think engerland win it, and that has f.uck all to do with Germanys injury problems.
It seems that when it comes to national pride, you are overloaded with paranoia and you think that every post is a pop at your country
