I would have him, he has improved since he had the trial with us a few years back

My shopping list for the summer would be one of the following lists, the first assuming we have no more than £25m to spend, the second assuming that the budget is or becomes higher (Kroenke deal with board?) but still trying to be realistic about who could be available. The figures are of course guesstimates, and I also assume we'll sell one of Diaby, Gilberto and Eboue, Hoyte and (if we buy a striker) Bendtner, increasing the budget:
1. Jaaskelainen (free), Lucio/Cuellar (£8m), Makoun/Cana (£6m), Queresma/Ben Arfa (£15m)
2. Frey (£10m), Lucio/Cuellar (£8m), Gattuso (£9m), Queresma/Ben Arfa (£15m), Villa/Huntelaar/Eto'o (£16m-£20m)
A lot of wishful thinking, I know.

Makoun might be a bit of a squad player, perhaps Perrin has more bite?
Eto'o is starting to deline (admittedly from a very high standard).
Huntelaar is a player I like. But is he too slow for our quick switching fast football? He might just be a costly version of Bendtner?

Interesting the boss wants a creative player...hopefully to take the weight of Cesc when he gets tired.

The press are having a field-day
Ignacio Camacho and Yaya Toure, from Atletico Madrid and Barca respectively:
It's Nach of day, then Wenger goes Yaya!
Richard Dunne for one million, already discussed on another thread:

Daily Mirror links to another three (!) players. Mario Gomez, Raul Albiol and Aaron Ramsey:
Arsene Wenger sets sights on Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez
So according to the press, six of these players are viewed by Arsenal

seeing more and more speculation linking us with lucio (bayern munich), and apparently gareth barry is on his way with eboue as part of a 15m deal, SWEET. he is said to be insulted by liverpool as they bid 10m for him after valuing crouch at 15m hahaha.
also moe of the ben arfa talk and again mexes name is cropin up
im ok with all of them

I don't want Ben Arfa, certainly not for £15 million. With Carlos Vela coming in we don't exactly need another left winger.
I want a right winger to be brought in, two if Wenger decides to use Walcott up front more next season. Hleb hold the ball up well but doesn't get forward enough, nearly all his passes are sideways or backwards. He's best suited for playing in the middle, if he's wtill with us next season.
I'd still like for us to bring in Dunne, Bullard, Affelay and either Matrins or Dean Ashton. Ashton's finally getting his sharpness back and could easily score 15 goals or more a season with the amount of chances we create. Dunne, Bullard and Affelay would cost us the best part of £13 million.
Arsene says he'll have signed a player by the end of the month. Can't come soon enough for my liking. Hopefully bringing in a player or two will stop the media from making out that we are a club in crisis.
