Re: The ONLY Euro 2016 thread
Looking at Phil McNulty's match report it seems that Wayne Rooneh re-invented football tonight and that his substitution was the reason England lost.

Christ were they awarded two goals because it wasn't clear who scored so they gave them one each?northbank123 wrote:Looking at Phil McNulty's match report it seems that Wayne Rooneh re-invented football tonight and that his substitution was the reason England lost.

Blimey, we haven't even signed Vardy yet and he has gone backwards, not even getting a few minutes on the pitch!
And whatever you say, Gibbs wouldn't have let that Russki head the ball in.
And here's my third point, Walcott would have done a lot better than Sterling. He might not be doing it for us, but this is England, and the standard required isn't quite so high.
Final point - England's best player by a mile is Sturridge, so where was he????

Ramsey set up Wales winner, with a nice little cut inside that left the Slovakian defender baffled.
I really wish he would keep it simple though. Cut out the flicks and the back heels, he would be so much better for it.

No way should Sturridge start. But at the same time Sterling who I think hasn't had a good season should be replaced by Vardy. Wilshere isn't fit enough to play 90 mins at this level.Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:Wilshire and Sturridge have to start, and wtf is Kane doing taking corners???

No Stewarding No policing that is really hard to understand given the events leading unto the game.......northbank123 wrote:Russia fans seemed to storm into the Emgland fans and had them (women, children and all) scarpering for safety. Shocking organisation and lack of effective segregation.augie wrote:northbank123 wrote:Disgusting scenes afterwards. Not that UEFA will be bothered about Russians - if they were British fans we would be having plans to ban clubs from Europe for a decade.
What happened ? Stopped watching when the final whistle went

Walcott?! He's basically at the same level as Sterling. Only Sterling will occasionally actually try and take an oppo player on.
Sturridge??!! Jesus mate have you ever actually watched Sturridge play? He is bog average on a good day.

First before I get on to England fair play to Wales a deserved victory and good luck to The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. I totally agree with the comments about Sterling absolutely rubbish tonight and we all think Walcott is crap. The only time wonder spud Kane touched the ball was when he took corner kicks what's that all about, finally what do you all think about the ITV pundits and commentators talk about an England love in typical Hoddle praising all the spuds.Redarmy wrote:Block93 wrote:Blimey, we haven't even signed Vardy yet and he has gone backwards, not even getting a few minutes on the pitch!

Just saw on Sky sports news that Northern Irish fans have been attacked in Nice hope this is not going to continue throughout the tournament the Germans will be out in big numbers as will the Poles.DB10GOONER wrote:That is terrible.
