Wilson wrote:Ospina again proving why if he is sold, it should be for a proper fee. Im talking around 15m. He is only 27, and the only reason he is our number 2 is because we have Cech.

Some of the fees quoted for him are a joke. The lastest rumours are for 3m to Besiktas. I just dont get it on two fronts. One, why is it only Besiktas after him? And two, 3m is a joke of a fee. Its about 5 times as less than what he is actually worth.

We signed Cech because he didnt want to be number two. For that reason I would never keep a number 2 keeper at the club against his will. But for 3m, Ospina can stay where he is.
He's worth more than 3m but he is a very average keeper who benefitted from not being Chesney or Flappy. Not good enough for a club like Arsenal.

15m is a bit steep for a guy who at 27 is still pretty unproven and frankly if you are selling your second choice keeper you hardly have any leverage for negotiations.

Another Wenger myth shot down in flames - that top players come to Arsenal cause of Wenger.
Top players? Wenger cant even attract Jamie Vardy fs.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36571877

And that Mkhitaryan fella will probably go to Man U and play Europa League rather than suffer Wenger, even with CL football.

Remember this from Wenger - "top payers ask -do you play in CL"
Now they give CL a swerve if its Wengers Arsenal cause they've seen that movie before and know they've no chance of competing. :|

David Ornstein on Twitter: "Vardy set to reject Arsenal & stay at Leicester. No final decision yet but favouring #LCFC. #AFC won't improve offer, pursuing other options"

Mugged off by Jamie Vardy

Another fucking joke of a transfer deal from Wanker. Why waste a fucking month pissing about with Vardy when attention could have been turned elsewhere? Is anyone really surprised that it didn't actually go anywhere? Of course not. Why wait until three days before a tournament stars to put a bid in? Why didn't the stupid *word censored* get it done straight after the last game of the season? Why? Because he doesn't actually want to sign anyone and would rather drag something out for weeks and use it as an excuse- it's the usual fucking story with this *word censored* in charge. We sit here and get all the usual shit about signing this one and that one and another one but in reality it's all bollox because Wanker has no idea of who he wants, no list of players to go after and no hope of getting anyone decent. Any striker now, will look at Arsenal and say fuck off, I wasn't your first choice so I'm not interested or we'll eventually do the usual pathetic thing of buying some shit nobody with a bad injury record and no hope. Fuck off Wanker, just fuck off.

He gets on the ball a lot, keeps the game flowing and has a nice range of passing, BUT I still don't see a ball winning DM in him - for me he hardly made a tackle much less won a tackle, and while he might be a great player alongside a proper DM, I just don't see him being the DM we need

The positive news is Xhaka has been quality. No hype, no fancy flicks, just simple direct effective play. Brilliant range of passing and his understanding of the game at 23 is immense. Got many good years ahead of him and will only improve.

The latest quotes from le cock......

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned fans not to expect a summer spending spree, with only “one or two more” signings likely this summer.

“We’ve already bought one player – Granit Xhaka – from Monchengladbach,” Wenger said. “So we’ve bought one midfielder and we’re still in the market to buy one or two more players. But it is not easy.

It is not just buying. We also have to keep a good balance. If you buy too many players you destabilise your team. So three is the maximum.”

I would love to know how signing too many quality players can destabilise your team

It may sound like sour grapes now but I never desperately wanted steptoe, he has the whiff of a one season wonder about him who had a golden run, he doesn't suit our shit tippy tappy system and would not have been able to adapt to it because let's face it, the system is not changing while the old fool is in charge. I am pissed off that we displayed a total lack of balls by hanging around for him to make up his mind, the offer should have been withdrawn the minute he got on the plane.
I have zero hope that any of the glaring problems in the team will be sorted by August....groundhog season again. Wash rinse repeat

Xaha ...WTF???? what will he do playing alongside Metersecker, Wally and Giroud

We need a quality CB and Main striker, a winger would be good, we need to out Wally, Chamberlain and Giroud

What is it about Wenger that he sniffs around Man Utd rejects..Danny Blind being the latest

Really hoping now we will loose our first few games, which is not unlikely, get the pressure on..this wanker just has to go

Cannot take another season just to see the same old mistakes
