Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned fans not to expect a summer spending spree, with only “one or two more” signings likely this summer.

“We’ve already bought one player – Granit Xhaka – from Monchengladbach,” Wenger said. “So we’ve bought one midfielder and we’re still in the market to buy one or two more players. But it is not easy.

It is not just buying. We also have to keep a good balance. If you buy too many players you destabilise your team. So three is the maximum.”

I would love to know how signing too many quality players can destabilise your team

:blah: :blah: :censored: :censored: :cussing: :cussing:
Yep - it's a fucking disaster if you have too much quality in your team! :fryingpan: :dancingbanana: :duh: Destabilises the fucking shit right outa them! :x

I sometimes wonder if Wenger is on crack or PCP or something...

And we cant get rid of Chezny because Roma doesnt want to pay a larger percentage of his wages , at the moment they pay less than half half of his reported 65 K a week !

Some things never change !

A Leicester City player, entering the last phase of his career is set to reject Arsenal Football Club.
So much for attracting world class players when we can't attract triers like Jamie Vardy.
The prominance of the Champions League has made players view clubs according to their continental status, and Emirates Arsenal are a championship level team in that regard - below Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, and Liverpool

I'll tell you why it isn't easy, you stupid old *word censored*. It's not easy because you spend six fucking weeks every two years fannying around on French TV when you should be working for Arsenal. Now shut the fuck up and get on with the job you are paid a fucking fortune to do badly.

This can't be a surprise to anybody.

We'll presumably have a tough time offloading Walcott and Gibbs for their ludicrous wage demands as well.

Great point mate. Was going to post this as well. Under Wenger we became a European Cup regular but we have now become an also ran. A club that competes but can never win the biggest prize.

For years we've been told that if Wenger leaves we won't be able to attract top players. Now we can't even attract 29 year old grafters.

Fair play to Vardy though. I admire his loyalty. Hope the other Leicester players stay too.

Oh! yeah!? Wait till Clueless gets his hand son him.... :?

I think that is a steal.

What I want to know is who the fuck there is sanctioning selling one of their best players at a snip with no manager in place?

More worrying is that we're paying 3 times as much for a player with no Premier League experience. Xhaka might turn out to be a world beater but Wanyama @ £11 million Xhaka @ £35 million is a big big difference.
