THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can you set up the border now, so Wenger and that other arrogant wanker Giroud can stay in France.

Apologies if it's allready been said but just you wait until Wenger uses the Brexit vote and the currency wekaness against the dollar and euro as an excuse NOT to buy anyone else in the transfer window !

Wenger cowering behind Marcel Desailly just because the sprinkler goes off....

No wonder we got a team of bottle jobs that turn their backs at every opportunity rather than block the ball

Was just about to post the same thing - I know a few years ago wenger was coveted by psg but that was back when he was viewed as a top manager - couldn't see the dog and duck team going after him now

:banghead: I don't know of any other supposedly top manager doing TV work whilst employed by their respective clubs for the whole month?
Maybe I'm wrong but I'd like to think after the embarrassment of Vardy blowing us out he would be pulling out the stops for essential replacements?
Striker, centre half, replacements for 3 midfielders that have left??
All suitable candidates are getting signed by pro active and dare I say more ambitious clubs..
Waiting for the brexit excuse any day!!

Liverpool are buying, United are busy, as are City & Chelsea..... But of course we are not doing anything because the head honcho, the man with the purse, the only one smart enough, the only one who can spot talent, is watching football (and probably getting paid a fortune) in France. Once that's over, who is going to begrudge him a well deserved holiday...?? So he'll come back at the 11th hour, express his frustration that 5 or 6 of the worlds best players are not queuing outside his office with suitcases in hand begging for a "trial". He went for Vardy, is it now his fault that there is nobody available to improve our current squad???

And the guy he has bought, took a penalty the other night and the bloke that went to get the ball had to buy a ticket to get back into the stadium  :barscarf:
