The ONLY Euro 2016 thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Obviously his actions do not reflect on the behaviour of the many fans who travelled over but how smug are we in Ireland about minorities of other countries support behaving in this way.
Paris have just announced that they are awarding their highest honour to both Ireland and NI fans for their supreme conduct
A white flag? :rubchin:

Similar to the Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers hooligans linking up with Dutch hooligans at Euro 88 to have a go at the Ingerlish. Conveniently under-reported in the press in Oireland.

Also should mention that another seldom mentioned incident was a pitched battle at a train station in Stuttgart where dozens of English and Irish fans (not all hooligans either, a lot of scarfers got caught up in it and had no choice but to defend themselves) fought side by side against a huge mob (150-250) of German skinheads and smacked holy fuck out of the neo-Nazi twats. 8)

I read somewhere that the French World War Two Museum in Paris has a display containing the single French rifle that was fired in that war.

Morning chaps !

Been away for a bit but thought I would pop in and see what's going on. Well, it took me the usual 5 minutes to get over Ingerlund's latest debacle. Love the fact that the latest "root and branch" review is about to take place......that'll be the 4th since we failed to qualify for Euro 2008 then ! Also great to see such luminaries as Gareth Southgate, Eddie Howe, and Fat Walrus Chops being lined up to take over.....that'll show 'em!

What an utterly boring tournament. Yeah, yeah romantic story for Iceland and all that but nearly all the matches have sent me to sleep. Still, perfect preparation for the sideways passing and sterile stuff we can all look forward to come August !

Haven't really read much in the aftermath of Ingerlund's exit but no doubt as usual everyone who didn't make the plane will suddenly be world beaters. If only Andy Carroll or Wally Walcott had been there.......I'm sure it would have been so different :D

You look at the vacant managers position and you think to yourself "who the f.uck are they gonna get to fix this mess" ? This isn't the same is the "there is no better available manager that arsene" mantra that the akb w*nkers continue to chant ( ), but engerland don't know what type of manager they want and everytime this job becomes available, brexit dickheads like wilkins spout about how the manager must be english  I know that if I was an engerland fan I wouldn't be enthused with the prospect of fat sam, fat bruce ot c.untbag Pardew managing the team, and it also needs to be said that this job is way too soon for eddie howe.
The problems with the England squad are almost totally down to the players - too much money, lack of intelligence, lack of commitment, lack of technique and of course too much money  No manager in the world can fix all those issues and everytime this situation arises and you lot cant decide if you need a total overhaul or just a front office (manager) change up

Augie this failure is systemic .
The Fault lies failty and sqaurely in the hands of the FA whose corrupted greed and incompetence matches that of FIFA.
Greg Dykes knows fuck all about Football but like Blair reckons hes been around football all his life .
He slipped into Brentford and them wormed his was to SOHO .
The entire FA should go and we should statrt again from graass roots upwards !
Countrywide training schools not just Premier League picking up all the talent and wasting most of it.
Reduction of the premier league by minimum of 4 teams and preferably 6 in years preceeding a tournament .
theres much more but these twe are the mosty important.

I'd give anything to see a squirrel running across the pitch at this point! ANYTHING. :D

More chance of a gerbil popping out of the back of Dive-aldo's shorts...

TBH usually I'd cheer on any of the so called "home nations" because there usually would be at least a couple of Gooners in their teams or maybe a couple of players I liked or respected from the PL, but I hope Wales get smashed and all because of Monkey Bale. The guy is an absolute arsehole and the way he's been gloating and acting like an arrogant cock make me want to see him humiliated.

So, again - sorry to our Welsh viewers, usually I'd cheer you on - but I hope you get bumholed 0-7.
