The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Don't see Wenger spending 50-70 million on Morata/Auba/Higuain.
Would he be "much better" though? Scoring goals in Ligue 1 very different to the PL. Giroud managed 21 goals in 36 games in his last year in France. Lacazette managed 21 in 34 last season and since his debut in 2009 has only scored more than 20 league goals on 2 occasions. Add in the difficulty many foreign players have adjusting to the pace and physicality of the PL and my fear is he might be just another Giroud.... :|

Also agree I can't see Wenger spending 50-70 million on any of Morata, Auba or Higuain. Or anyone tbh... :(
I've said before that I don't rate him that highly, but he's the most realistic option right now. Anyone with speed and an eye for goal is by default better than Giroud, not difficult mind. I see him banging 25-30 for us with the amount of service we provide each game. I can't stomach another season with the donkey up front.
If he scores 25-30 goals in his first pl season that would make him an elite striker and you would have to rate him highly to believe this.
It wouldn't. If a donkey like Giroud can get 24 in a season what do you think this guy can? He's better than Giroud so 25 goals in all comps at a minimum is a realistic expectation.

If it comes to Higuain or Lacazette, you'd have to go for Higgy everytime, regardless of the age factor.

As for the other possibilities, Sissoko stood out in a shit Newcastle team and has done well in France, but then again I thought Debuchy would have a good few years here too.

Rodriguez from Wolfsburg would be excellent for sorting out left back for years. Get to work, Granit Xhaka.

I'm surprised there are no transfer rumours for any England players that were at the Euros. I wonder why?

It would appear that no one is available if you';ve * had your head in the sand * until 2 days before the window closes.

* or been on french tv as a pundit

Didn't think he was any better to what we already have at the club. Looked average for Spain.

Yes that's right if you base your opinion on a couple of Euro games. But Peps done his homework on Nolito prior to the Euros, which is far more sensible.

Well, in fairness, your bird has called me many things... "Super Schlong", "Pounder", "Poon Master".

But to answer your question; probably the same reason you are known as Tranny Tits.
