THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Mourinho has more about him than just spending. Claiming that we would win nothing under Mourinho just because of money is ridiculous. Arsenal have plenty of money. Always had. Mourinho would actually spend it and use it a lot better than Wenger I reckon.
He can attract quality players. Players want to play for him because he's a winner. Unlike Wenger. Wengers been rumbled by top players. Turned down by Vardy even. Look at how Mourinho can sign Ibra and steal Mkhitaryan from under Wengers nose and with no CL football.
Also he's not afraid to change things and make tough decisions both in-game and off-field.

He'd probably do the same with us as he has done at all his other clubs. Come under great fanfare, win trophys then leave under a cloud.
I'd take that. I'd take anything to break the cycle.

Yeah agree Mourinho can attract big name players, and Wenger can't.

Probably last 2 seasons and end up trying to gouge out Gazidis eye, and calling Colin Lewin a son of a w****

With all these top managers now in the prem like Mourinho, Pep, Conte, Klopp and the upcoming success-hungry managers like Koeman and Pochetino, if Wenger gets us top four I swear it'll be his greatest ever achievement!

Saw a few twitter posts tonight alleging the Dortmund coach said Mkhitaryan wanted an Arsenal move but Wenger got cold feet at the last moment,
Maybe nothing in it, as I cant find any links.

Im interested to see how Koeman does at Everton next couple seasons. He's taken over from Wenger-lite Martinez and without much funds he usually had Wengers number.
Now he has Usmanovs ex-partner Moshiri as owner who will probably want to keep the fans quiet and let Koeman splash a bit of cash.

Really, what is the point now of having this *word censored* in charge of the club? He's tactically fucking stupid, can't sign any players or refuses to even look for players, drives the only decent players we have out of the door or injures them, sits on a huge salary and moans about money ruining the game, is completely out-dated in every single facet of modern football and can't even get close to winning major honours. This summer is showing just how little the top players and agents think of him. Why bother going to Arsenal as you have to play for him and you won't win anything? With Maureen back in the league and the other managers more settled, this is the season when it will all come crashing down around Wanker. In order to even compete with City, Man Utd or even the Chavs, he needed to spend big, spend early and make a statement. He hasn't and won't. He's fucked and as a result, so are we.

Come on, man. Did you really want him to "kill" Mertesacker? :?
