THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You're trigger finger gettin itchy? Callin forum members dicks eh? Really? Have you not banned someone for a while?

Anyway if you could show me where I even suggested the guy on twitter was banned for Wenger criticism Id appreciate it. Until then have a think before you post. Ta much
Grow up. If I wanted to ban you within the remit given by the owners I actually could have by now, so drop the whole street-fighting martyr facade - it's embarrassing tbh.

Also, where did I say you posted that specifically? But you are the one implying that he was banned for nothing on several threads. As well you know.

And seriously, if anyone on here needs to start thinking before they post - it's you.

I odnt get it. Campbell played himsrlf into the team last season, and played above Theo who has been frozen out because he was rubbish. Now apparently Joel Campbell is being asked to leave. Not Joel Campbell wants to leave, but apparently Wenger is taking an active appraoch.

Why? Because Joel Campbell is a fan favorite and we let Wenger know our disgust when Campbell was removed.

Wenger is such a bitter, resentful cun.t

TBH I'd take that with a pinch of salt, it being from the Daily Star, a "newspaper" renowned for exaggeration, prevarication and outright making shit up!

But then, on the other hand, there is hardly anything I wouldn't put past Wenger..... :| The fans booing Wenger's decisions to sub Campbell when Campbell was putting a shift in, certainly would have gotten Wenger's back up IMHO.

No thats not right. (again) Think you'll find I posted this the other day......
armchair wrote:What did he tweet that was so offensive anyway?

No-one knows.........
I dont know what he tweeted. Maybe it was racist. Maybe it wasnt. It was kick-it-out who reported him to Arsenal but then the guy himself says hes a "person of colour"

My problem is with Arsenal banning him. If someone objected to his tweets then the course of action should have been reporting it to twitter and the police.

Im sure there are many real crims going to games. Probably rapists, paedos, murderers etc.

But my post was more general about the whole culture of stamping out any dissenting voice. Like the stewards at city, sacking Henry, no strong captains etc

And wtf you on about.....
Streetfighter? Dick?

In comparison to wally, Campbell is on a pittance of a pay deal and any transfer fee would be a fraction of what it would cost to buy a brainless overpaid w*nker like wally  Many of us have long since complained about the knock on effect of giving massive wages to undeserving players, cos it simply is too big of an outlay for other clubs to take them off our hands. The only hope that we have is that the player concerned is motivated by playing, but money grabbing w*nkers like wally have a long history of showing that money is their god

FFS! I've just tried to wade through 3 pages of dire shyte - You said that and he said this and :blah: :blah: :blah:

And THIS was the Only comment woth noting....

The reason he took offence G88ner was because he should have been drinking Red Stripe or Barley Wine...you know what these estate 9yr old kids are like these days - They gotta maintain their 'Cred'.

Someone used the term 'Summation':

Have to say even if someone joined the forum yesterday they are entitled to voice their opinion/s as long as it isn't name calling etc...which we have done occasionally when we are so 'angry and frustrated' with what is happening to our beloved Club....which brings me to what G88ner alluded to:

It is Wenger that IS the problem - He has caused Gooners to physically attack one another at games - for Gooners on here to often fall-out with one another...

I have come to the conclusion that regardless of what any pundits, journalists, even analysists may say about The Arsenal and Wenger - It is worth remembering that he (Wenger) actually believes what he is doing is right - and that because he is in a position of (seemingly) unasailable power at the moment no-one - Particularly those that matter (Us/Gooners) can do very little about him and the what he is doing/not doing.

We have called him everything from his hole to his pole - But all the evidence points firmly to the fact that he truly has become something of a (small - time) despot and is using every means at his disposal to Dictate everything that happens within the club - Including what happens in the board room, in the dressing room, on the pitch and on the Terraces (sic)/ Stands.

The club we all once knew - AFC - a by word for a club with Class and with genuine Family Values is Gone  - and it is not coming back - Not even when Wenger eventually fucksoff - So as much as we may do 'in-fighting' on here - and yes we all do it - Let us remember "Wenger Out" and the sooner that happens - we can at least (hopefully) begin to feel less frustrated and angry.

We need to use that pent-up anger and frustration and whatever energy and re-sources we can muster and any means available to each of us within our individual situation and circumstance to 'Get Him Out' - That means acting, speaking with One Intent and One Voice. So write to the club and call for him to leave - Do it on a daily basis...that's what I do and up till now - I have written 280 letters calling/asking that he leave....it may sound like a waste of time/money(stamps) energy, but maybe just maybe when it gets to the pint when the club received 5oo letters of a similar nature every day - Someone somewhere within the club might just notice - maybe they will 'leak it to the press' and cause the club and wenger further embarrassment - maybe I'm a dreamer - But hey! It's the best I can do at the moment....

Also it would save a whole lot of drivel & shyte on here spoiling what is fundamentally Our (Arsenal) home away from home till Wenger is gone.

Wenger has given wally 10 years to get his act together and to show some cahona's and he still hasn't done it - I think he never will - Because he cannot - He is Not a footballer - he was an athelete - a sprinter who got picked for a team - easily ran past some defenders and scored the occasional lucky goal - and that was it - His fate was sealed and coming to Arsenal his future (regardless of whether he became the player we hoped or not) he is made for life (financially) - He so often goes missing ( who can forget the 8 -2 rape at mancscums place) when he blamed Jenkinson for everything...And then you have a player like Campbell who regardless of his talent & skills which he does have - he always puts in a shift - And so once again It is Wenger who is to blame for the situation where wally gets £140k a week for being shyte 99% of the time - Whilst Campbell is hardly ever given a long enough run to show his true worth.

Agree with above Post, the Wenger situation is driving a lot of people crazy with frustration on here

Just think when he goes we will have nothing to moan about.... :D

As for the twitter bans, not much Arsenal can do really if "Kick it out" people report offenders, seems Arsenal are duty bound to act

Incidents at Man city last year are probably more worrying

There is not another manager in world football who would have given Wally Wankpott 10 years at at their club. Most places would have loaned him out years ago and then got rid of him about four years ago. I think he perfectly sums up the malaise and tolerance of just plain averageness at Arsenal over the last 11 years. He's just a perfect Wenger player. Average, injury-prone, sometimes awful, nowhere near good enough but continually living in a stress-free bubble of huge wages and long, undeserved contracts. Like Wilshere, he would last about two weeks under a proper manager. Getting rid of Campbell but holding on to Wankpott is pure Wenker ego and petulance aimed at the fans.

Have to agree with all of that Perry! Btw i think your location in your avatar is slightly optimistic

I think the most frustrating thing for many of those who want rid of Wenger is that deep down, no matter what we say Wenger has too much support from fans, is doing exactly what the board require and is providing the media with some great stories (good or bad it makes no difference to them) and therefore we know in our heart of hearts that Wenger will only go when Wenger decides to go.

The shame of it is that about 99% of posters left on these boards want him gone but their frustrations at seeing what he continues to do at our club boils over into snide bickering between posters, and if i'm honest some of the comments from nearly everyone show this even if some hide it better than others

I was a closet reader for a long time before i finally registered and the craic (thanks to our Irish friends) that used to be expressed on here has died away and it has cost us the loss of many excellent posters over time.

Its both funny and sad how one insignificant little man can cause so much carnage to a football club and it's fans and yet many remain absolutely oblivious to his short comngs and those who do see it spend most of their time bickering amongst themselves :banghead:
