The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Will the likes of Giroud, Kos, Ozil and Sanchez get an extended break because of their exploits in the Euros and Copa America.

Another nice excuse for Wenger, when he claims that the players wont be match fit until Christmas, due to the Euro's.

Rob Holding from Bolton passed a medical apparently.

Funny how fast the signings are when the player is worth £2.5m.

Who?!?

If we get him and the Japanese guy in the one transfer window I think we can all agree the move to the Emirates has been worthwhile

That's what we left Highbury for.. 10th Anniversary present to remind us we should be competing with Barca and Bayern for the top players and prizes.. In fairness to the two players it's not their fault, wish them both well, but how fucking underwhelming is this..

Speaking of project youth...I see Wellington Silva has signed for Fluminense.
Did this fella ever step foot in the country?

Tin hat on - ok here goes.....to be fair, with all the signings made in the last couple of years by the Mancs, Liverpool, Spuds, Chelsea and then to be beaten by us and Leicester maybe things could be worse. I don't think 80m for Higuain will get us a title, it's a massive punt if it happens (which it won't).
My main complaint about Wenger is his lack of transparency. He is paid by the fans and he should be putting forward his plans regarding transfers and squad preparation. He is ALWAYS the last one to get things up and running so we miss the jump. If we think about when the club was best under his reign it was when he inherited a quality squad and got hit in the ass by a rainbow getting Henry and Vieira - who from memory were decent prices at the time. I think that period has always masked his many many failures since.
Anyway, I've just bought tickets for next seasons pre-season tour of Oz so things could be worse - at least this time it won't cost me $3k to see them play.

Bellerin to City, with Jason Denayer (who) coming to us.

I dont believe Bellerin wants to leave, especially since he wouldnt leave for Barcelona, so he wouldnt want to move to City.

However, Bellein is one of the players Wenger dare not sell if he wishes for the fans not to riot.

Different breed of fans

The big difference is we had David Dein back then to reign in the worst of Wenger's excesses. Now Wenger runs the entire club like a hobby for himself and his out of whack ego. He is answerable to no one. :|
