Sorry if this has been mentioned before but thought it might bring a tad bit of amusement. Has anyone heard he new song by Lethal Bizzle? It contains lyrics that insinuate Wengers lack of desire to splash the cash on transfers :D

Her future's high beaming, yeah that right
Best of both worlds yeah that type
See her in the club and she look right
Jeans are Arsene Wenger, yeah fam that tight
She's my new signing, the one I'm pursuing
Allure of other interests, but don't know what they're doing
Windows shopping, all they do is viewing
Promise you the world, all they do is ruin

I think Lethal Bizzle has had a pop at Wenger on Twitter in the past so nice to see him having a dig in his 'artwork' :barscarf:

Wenger is certainly acting at the moment as if he is in for the long haul.
There must be a new contract being dangled in front of him, which is of course what Piers Morgan revealed earlier in the year.

it would also explain the lack of signings.
in his little world he thinks that because the team finished 2nd last season there really is no need to buy anyone.
why would he actually want to put himself under pressure to challenge for the title ? he knows that he would ultimately fail.

this way just gives the AKBs an excuse to say that we cant compete. :banghead:

Oh I completely agree, cannot abide any of whatever the hell you call music like that, just found it amusing that Wengers dithering is entering into regular popular culture. There will be references in the dictionary next!! :D

In a slight aside to the legendary Alan Partridge, there will soon be a picture of Wenger in the Dictionary... right beside the word "moribund".

Why do some persist with the notion of Wenger leaving next summer. The guy is in the perfect job, in which he earns 8 million a year, just to have his team in the top 4. In addition, he is beyond shameless, so no matter what the fans opinion is of him, or how bad the results get, he will cling on for dear life. Unless we slide down the table, he isn't leaving any time soon.

Yes, it's very ominous now.

At least when he (the club?) was in for Vardy, it seemed more like he was finally buying for now. It probably wasn't him though.

He's a fucking parasite :censored:

I can't disagree unfortunately, but why is that year sticking with you? He'll pass Fergie's tenure in 2024...

Cech

Bellerin Kosicleny ........ Monreal

Xhaka Coquelin

Sanchez Ozil Iwobi

..........

All he has to do is fill in the blanks. The difference it would make in substituting two high quality players for Giroud and Mertesacker is astronomical. This is why its unbearable to have him as manager, because no matter how close we get, he twiddles his thumbs rather than doing whats required.

We have the makings of a great first 11, and we have a solid amount of quality in depth. Yet there a key positions within the team that cannot be allowed to be filled by players who should be nothing more than a squad players. Remember years ago when we had the foundations of a top team, but Wenger insisted in playing Almunia in goal. The 09-10 season we were making a late charge and were in good shout for the title. But Almunia did one of tricks at Birmingham City, spilling a Kevin Phillips header straight at him. Yeah a header, not a shot, but a he let a header directed straight at him into the back of the net.

You can add Girouds 15 game goal drought to the list of failures that have made massive contribution in undermining our assault on the title. Yet Wenger religiously stands by them all the same.

Its gross negligence not to add two more players at centre half and striker. And its why I cant support him ever again. Its not so much his attitude and arrogance, or even his ineptitude and incompetence, but the refusal to do the bare minimum is beyond forgiveness. The club should have mechanisms in place to force Wenger to act. But Wenger, and the board, they just ignore reality. Its tantamount to taking of in an airplane and not checking to see if the fuel tank is full - then your well high in the air and suddenly you say to yourself, 'oh, sh.., someone forget to check the tank'. Its gross negligence, not incompetence, but negligence. Incompetence is trying but failing. Negligence is simply not bothering and allowing a bad situation to materialize when there was ample to time to act in order to prevent it.

If there's anyone like myself who's on the absolute verge of a nervous breakdown my advice would be to do everything you can to avoid Ivan Gazidi's comments from yesterday.
